I believe in lasting impressions, be it from consultation to final product. I strive to make every session a pleasant and enjoyable experience. I started tattooing over 12 years ago when I moved to Toronto in search for the right place to learn and gain knowledge in an industry charged with character and endless possibilities.
Lasers are the safest and most effective way to remove tattoos and avoid scarring. The RevLite laser works by sending different wavelengths safely into the skin to target the tattoo at its core. The tattoo ink is broken into particles and eventually eliminated through the body's natural processes. On average, professional tattoos require 2 to 12 treatments.
Since every tattoo is unique the price will always be different. The best way to find out the price of your tattoo is to come into the studio for your consultation appointment and the artist will inform you of how much it will cost. We require a deposit of $60 to $200 plus tax depending on artist to hold your appointment time and date.

The staff is very friendly and funny. They make you feel welcomed. They strive on cleanliness and professionalism. I cannot explain how breathtaking my tattoo is by Mike Storey. It looks even better than what I could have imagined. I am so grateful for how it turned out. I have gotten so many compliments. Mike listened to what I wanted and made great suggestions. He was very helpful. The entire experience was amazing. Highly recommend Mike and this shop to anyone. Julie was very helpful and great with communication. I went in to get a touch up( work done by another artist years ago).
They ended up telling me that my particular tattoo might not benefit from a touch up at all. And might even look worse.
Never in my life would I have thought that they would say no to an opportunity to make money. BUT I'm very grateful and going in for another one.
They're super clean!

I got a fantastic piece of art done on my arm by Rob! I’m incredibly pleased with my new tattoo, thank you for making it a great experience. Rob is an amazing artist and I was blown away by his work! He was able to listen to what I wanted and put his own artistic spin on it. Rob was kind enough to let me take smoke breaks when needed and gulp down some Gatorade. I highly recommend Black Pearl Tattoo and I’m completely satisfied with Rob’s work! Can’t wait to get some more tattoos by him!

Best. piercer. ever. first off the receptionist was super friendly and helpful, they were able to give me an appointment the same day when i called. she helped me with recommendations for jewelry and helped me make my mind up. i ended up piercing my nose and ear, and the piercer Mike answered all my questions. he also changed my jewelry in two piercings that i already had and had lots of good information.
i will not be getting pierced anywhere else so long as this place exists.

Great place to get your piercings! I've gotten my rook, auricle and forward helix pierced here. Very clean space and staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They also have a 2 for 1 deal for piercings which really makes the trek from Scarborough to Downtown worth it. You can always email or call them if you have any questions and walk ins are welcome for piercings.

My friend and I came in a few months ago (earIy November?). I got two lobe piercings and she got an Industrial. The space and staff seemed clean and professional. The piercer told us to use nothing but unscented soap and water to keep it clean- he was very adamant about this. ALL of our piercings have been infected multiple times now to the point where we've used antibiotics of various forms. We still can't sleep on them. I will not be back and will be recommending all my friends not to get any kind of work done here.

I am very pleased with my tattoo-so much so that I tried to book another appointment with him to touch up/continue the piece. I did a walk in for a double forward helix and it came out great! I have extremely low pain tolerance and the piercer was very professional and patient, and while it did hurt, it was only for a bit. It wasn't rushed and all my questions were answered and was made to feel really comfortable with a bit of chatting. Would definitely come here again for more piercings!

Just finished an awesome session with Mike Storey at Black Pearl Tattoo! A gifted artist who specializes in black and white realism artwork. This artist made me feel comfortable and provide excellent feed back on the design and location.

I wish I could give this place zero stars, but 1 is the minimum.
When you go to a place to get some permanent work done on your body, you need to trust that they know what they are doing.
I had a piercing done and when I told Ashleigh that it was not aligned properly she tried to tell me that it was instead of admitting that her company was at fault. She made me feel very uncomfortable and kind of attacked. So I requested for a refund on my tattoo deposit that I was getting the next week. Once I did this she became sooooo rude to the point where she called me names. I can't believe this

I have very high standards with body mods (for good reasons, safety first!) and Black Pearl met all of them. I had a mental checklist and they behaved perfectly.
I was attended to promptly when I arrived. After signing my waiver, my piercer, Monika, immediately was available for me. Everything she used was sealed and new, both the jewelry and the needles.

I loved the portfolio of this place and contacted them by email to set up a consultation. I asked if I should come at a specific time the following day. I was told it's not necessary. I got to the location an hour and 10 minutes before closing, I didn't want to be the annoying customer that comes 5-10 minutes before closing. I was told no one's able to help me anymore that day.
I contacted Black Pearl upset telling them I specifically proposed a time instead of showing up to prevent something like this from happening - no one wants to waste time and money for something like this

Came here last month for my first tattoo on my birthday! Liza was absolutely amazing and very professional. I had a tiny tattoo of a wave done on my foot and I am absolutely in love! Although my piece was probably much smaller and such simpler than her usual work, she still took her time with drawing it to my exact vision and was very patient with me while we worked to find the perfect position for it. I won't ever get a tattoo but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate them. I've complimented a friend on her flesh art and turns out she had it done here. While I admire their work, this review focuses on their piercing services because of my experience with them. I admit that I acted on a whim when I saw their promo banner advertising "2 for 1 piercings." I'd wanted my nose pierced for a while and after a quick skim of reviews, I went right in to add a new hole to my face. Walk-ins are welcome!

I searched many different artists in Toronto and her portfolio caught my eye because of how detailed, clean and beautiful her work was, not to mention the color shading she does is stunning!
My previous tattoo which was done by an artist at another tattoo shop in Toronto was very poorly done and in turn Hania made it look INCREDIBLE! I've only had it for a few days and have received many compliments. Thank you so much.
