Services
Timmins Animal Hospital has been a full-service animal hospital since 1974, providing medical and surgical care as well as preventative care for dogs, cats and horses. We have always emphasized preventative health care for our patients and this remains our focus to this day. A significant part of preventative health care is good nutrition.
Support the well-being of your feline or canine friend with regular health exams and pet vaccinations. We at Timmins Animal Hospital make preventative care a priority. We believe that managing your pet's health is not only more responsible and humane but also less stressful, for both you and your beloved pet, than treating a preventable illness.
Are the aches and stiffness of arthritis hindering the activities your older dog enjoys? Would you prefer a drug-free treatment for your cat's skin allergy? The Timmins Animal Hospital is fully equipped to provide laser therapy to relieve your pet's condition. Laser therapy has a variety of applications that can be used to keep your pet healthy and happy.
Timmins Animal Hospital is committed to the lifetime care of your equine partner through annual exams and vaccinations. Our trained staff members provide basic lameness testing, minor surgery, rehabilitation, wound care, and nutrition management. The in-house veterinary laboratory can also provide equine patients with basic blood work.
Are you looking for a veterinarian in the Timmins area for your companion animals or equine partners? Timmins Animal Hospital invites you to visit us on Algonquin Boulevard West at the intersection with Cloutier Street South. We offer complete veterinary services with a focus on preventative care, including pet dentistry, vaccinations, annual exams and nutrition counselling.

What an amazing experience! Dr. Butterworth was an amazing comfort for my cat and I. He was very knowledgeable and gave many informative choices for us to pursue. J would recommend to anyone with a pet who doesn't want to be forced to pay extra.
Five Stars!

I have been using the Timmins Animal Hospital pretty much since Dr Butterworth started. I have had great care from him no nonsense and actually tells me what is going on every time I needed him, including emergency late night visits.

They refused to help my cat when he was having seizures in my arms at the time. He ended up dying the next day as a result of seizures. Ever since then I swore I'd never go back to that place. Rest in peace Bobby!

Okay so, I've started questioning my loyalty to local Vets, "doctor" Butterworth saw my 2 year old yellow lab/huskey mix a few months ago. Since then I have paid over 9k to other vets trying to figure out why my dog isn't walking properly. After his check up with Butterworth, he explained that my dog my have wobblers disease and to see a specialist in Espanola. He has also explained that my dog had an ear infection, to which he did not prescribe any antibiotics now at the time i didn't think to ask, simply because I assumed after they clean it, it would go away. Of course not, skip to today when

The staff at Timmins Animal Hospital are extremely professional, attentive and courteous. The vets are thorough and they make sure to cover all bases and try to explain as much as possible to their clients. They take great care of my puppy and it means the world to me. Also, their prices aren’t as high as other local vets.

Always amazing service from both vets and all techs. One doctor usually deals with my dog and the other usually deals with my cats but when they have to switch it up, I admire the friendly and calm service we get. Love this place!

Friendly staff, short wait times. I've had to rush my dogs in on two occasions now and in both situations they were able to take me in within days, and follow up just as quick. My dog had what looked like a tumor growing in his mouth, my original vet wouldn't even look at him for a month, and then book the surgery afterwords. I called Timmins Animal hospital and they saw him that same week and he had surgery 3 days later. I trust Timmins Animal hospital just as my grandmother did with both of her dogs.
