NRS is a Canadian owned company servicing Ontario. It was started in 1987 by Marie Hren and Harriette Brown, Occupational Therapists who, after many years working in hospital based neuro-rehabilitation, recognized that their clients needed ongoing support in their community in order to reach their fullest potential.
They are entrepreneurs with a desire to help people. Steve graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at the Saint Mary's University in 2005, and later received his Master of Arts degree in Leadership - Organizational Development from the University of Guelph. He has worked in police services for 11 years.
We offer a full range of adult and pediatric life skills, vocational and rehabilitation programs aimed at helping clients overcome challenges in the area of physical function, cognition, sensation and perception, communication and/or pycho-social function. We are more than 40 therapists who provide multiple rehabilitation services in the comfort of your home and our well-equipped facility.
Nothing prepares you for being seriously injured in a car accident and having to relearn or find new ways to do everyday things - like managing your self-care and household chores, getting around, communicating effectively and successfully returning to caregiving, work, academic and leisure activities.
For over 30 years, NRS has provided a full range of rehabilitation services to individuals with serious injuries. We are pleased to announce that we now offer Driver Assessment and Training. The NRS Driver Assessment and Training Program is led by Terry Ginzburg, Occupational Therapist, who has over 15 years driver rehabilitation experience.
