Very upset with my stay this time. It was not my first time staying at this motel and it will not be my last. But my room was so cold I told the owner and she was very apologetic and handled my complaint very professional very pleased with her response but I probably still won't book during winter months. All-n-all the owner will go above and beyond to satisfy her guest. Greatly appreciated. See you in the summer!

The decor is dated, the staff seemed confused. Another guest was given a key to our room by accident so we got to meet some new people in an odd and awkward way. The thermostat has no markings and seemed to always be on. The plumbing in the bathroom was fixed poorly and obviously not by a professional. The beds are clean and tidy but incredibly uncomfortable, they are stiff which is my preference however lumpy and quite apparently very old. Their no smoking and no noise policy seems standard but they continually hang the $500 fine over your head, either in discussion or in all the reminder cards

Place is a DUMP! Very rude staff. Wi-Fi sucks, you get two towels for an entire week. Owner is psychotic and will go through your stuff when you are not in your room. Also if you aren't checked out by noon and you leave your vehicle there you will be charged 20$. In the end a total rip off...would rather sleep in my car in the winter time.

I lake to avoid the hard beds and cement floors that you sometimes get in the chain hotels along the highway . Motels like the Downeast are what I prefer.. The rooms are bigger, clean and comfortable and its close to a great restaurant for breakfast . The owner is also the manager, which makes a difference, Its worth the short trip off the highway .
