Dr Krell was born and raised in Calgary Alberta and attended university at the University of Alberta (U of A) in Edmonton where he received his Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree. He then took an extra year with courses in radiation genetics and Microbiology. Upon his acceptance into dentistry he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree and practiced in Sherwood Park for a year and then moved to this beautiful community of Campbell River.

A preventive program is a cooperative effort by the patient, dentist, and dental staff to preserve the natural dentition and supporting structures by preventing the onset, progress, and recurrence of dental diseases and conditions. Preventing dental disease starts at home with good oral hygiene and a balanced diet.
If you are experiencing extreme sensitivity or are suffering from advanced periodontal disease, you may be required to have a tooth extracted. With a simple extraction, the dentist can safely remove the affected tooth without the need for major surgery. There are numerous situations in which a simple extraction can help alleviate pain or prepare you for another cosmetic or restorative procedure.

Dr Krell and the staff at city smiles are incredibly gracious and kind!!
We appreciate the experience so much!!
It was my daughters first time having dental work done and she went in feeling quite nervous. After meeting Dr Krell, she was actually excited about having it done.
During the procedure he talked her though everything he did in a way that had her feeling calm and confident the whole time!!!!
On top of the amazing professional experience, they ended up not having to do part of the procedure, in turn actually charging me less than the quoted price!!!

Put in a crown, it fell out in less than a week. Pulled fillings to put in porcelain, cut my face open with not so much as a sorry. Still have a scar. All the fillings don't fit right. Left with sharp teeth and bits of filling bumps on the side of my teeth set in and unremoveable. Also don't preach your religion while people have rubber bridges in their mouths and can't say no thanks! Worst

Dr. Krell and his staff are as good as it gets in the denistry business. I recently had to get old 'chomper' removed and it went out without a hitch. Super friendly staff with excellent chair side manners. Highly recommend, and don't forget to ask him about the time he almost got eaten alive by man eating flies in South America while providing free dental care to the impoverished. Quality work by quality people!
(N.B. I read the review Danielle recently wrote. Can you imagine waiting 3.5 years to tell someone how horribly you felt about their work? Lol, I think there were other issues she seethed
