Willey West Campground originally was a ferry landing on the south shore of the North Saskatchewan at the end of Buck Creek Road in the 1940's. The name Willey West comes from the campgrounds three founders' names combined, Theo Westling, William Roos and Bruce Cropley. May long weekend in 1989, was the campgrounds first official operational day.

We have 5 non-smoking cabins for rental (Our Glamping sites) The Glamping Campsites are integrated right into our campground so you always have an opportunity to camp near friends and family. There are no heating or cooling units for in the glamping sites (somebody stole them), feel free to bring your own.

I learned about Willey West a few years ago and decided to check it out with my mom. we spent a week there. I loved how quiet it was there (minus some minor highway noise which isn't a deal breaker) I loved the… trails and being by the river. the sites are well maintained. I went back to Willey West in 2021. Minus a slightly annoyed staff member at the check in desk it all went extremely well. I loved the site, it was amazing weather, always polite people. I loved that you could text or call the front desk and have the wood delivered to you, especially if you've been drinking. the new owners

We could not have had a better experience at Willey Campground. There are plenty of ways to occupy your time such as biking or walking through the natural trails, enjoying the sunny days by the river, participating in goat yoga sessions, playing sports at the park, or finding a nice spot to contemplate the sunset.
We could really tell how passionate the owners and the staff are and how much effort and hard work they put every single day into making the campground the perfect getaway. It is always very well kept including restrooms, roads, park and campsites.

We were happy with our experience, we for sure had an amazing time. Very clean campsite, friendly and accomodating staff. It's like the management is keeping the good reputation of the campground. After our camping in June, I shared our beautiful experiences with my co-workers and showed them our photos. We are definitely going back! We love everything including the Sunday pancakes and keeping us well-informed about the happenings at the campground during our stay.

Love this campground! There is so much to do for kids and adults alike. The goat yoga was very fun, and you can't beat a hot day swimming in the river. There are so many activities to do with kids here, and a huge park and grassy area to play games.
Everything is well maintained and the sites all seem to offer a bit of privacy with trees in between. One morning we were up a bit early and we were offered a carafe of coffee, what a treat to sit and sip on that at our site before we had to do anything else for the day. We even stayed in a glamping site one night this summer, they are so original

Where do I start? Wiley West is absolutely beautiful 😍 (I will share some of my photos).
This campground, is clean, quiet and very well run! Owners and staff went above and beyond.
We booked a 6 night stay in site 87. Which was very close to the showers and flush toilets. Washrooms were warm, clean, shower was the perfect temp. $2 lasted at least 5 minutes!
Our electricity cut out a couple times over our stay (but we were on older side of the grounds,) which i loved, was very treed and private! Anyhow, it was no big deal because staff were on it and it was fixed immediately 😊👍

Hello!! 1st time at Elevated Camping experience and it was an excellent stay.
Camp site was large, private and well kept. Camp staff were friendly and delivered items right to our site in minutes. Fishing and lots of things to do close to site.
We had the excitement of a deer spending some of its day with us right at our camp site. Made for some nice pictures.
By the way the pizza was delicious!! Delivered hot right to our camp site!!

Willey West Campground is AMAZING!!! We rented one of the cabins and had the best time! The grounds are very well kept and the hosts are wonderful! We felt as far away from the city as possible yet we were so close to home. Sites are large and roomy, and there is jsut the right site for every type of camper. There are also a lot of activites at Willey West for everyone! The river is amazing and a great place to hang for the day. If you haven't been here yet, you should make this campground top of your list! Enjoy!!

I wished I could have spent more than 1 night. The time spent was wonderful. Site 4 was recommended by my daughter and she was with me. Filling up the water tank was a snap. Beautiful spot,and we were able to have a small campfire . We were at the end of a 3450 km trip and wanted 1 more night of camping.
BtW... best dump site ever! 2 thumbs up!

Great family type camping resort. Nice access to the river. The cabins were functional and well kept. The bathroom facilities were a little sketchy but if you have a trailer, then don't even worry about it. Some of the activities were not great. The gnome forest only had 2 sad gnomes. The playground is nice but it's all metal and impossible to use on a hot day. The video games room is quite literally a joke. They actually wanted $25 per person per day to play 4 dilapidated unknown games. I can't imagine anyone actually paying money for this. I feel like the pedal bikes and games room should just

We enjoy the campsite and have been here many times. **Only concern is that we did not have a reservation and just did first come first serve as there were sites available. They email the receipt and they charged us a reservation fee. We stopped on our way out and we’re advised we shouldn’t be charged but they had to talk to manager to get it… credited. Gave them lots of time to take care of refunding the reservation fee but nothing yet. Sent an email and have not received a response or acknowledgment. ** How this is handled will determine whether I promote this campground or

The highlight of this campground, and there are many, is the staff. Everyone is so friendly, helpful, and great with our daughter. Sasquatch Trail, Troll Bridge, the park, and the Wonder Woman Sasquatch themed… bathrooms were hits with our kid. The river was perfect. The little store was cute and had lots of stuff we ended up needing. With the game rentals, mini golf, and bikes there's so much to do.

This campsite is by far the best kept secret in Alberta. There is not a bad site in the whole place, all are large enough to accommodate the largest camper. The site are clean and very well maintained. From the moment you drive onto the campground the registry attendant (Janet🤗) you will experience the best of hospitality and friendly attention to… detail. Jason & Carmen have done a fantastic job in making this an "Elevated Experience", there is lots for kids to do as well. The book boxes are a classy touch and the theme cabins are the icing on the cake! I would encourage all
