We can only accommodate two clients in the waiting area at one time, so you may be asked to wait outside until your artist is ready for you.

Snacks and food are allowed, but must be consumed outside, or in the waiting area on the condition that there are no other clients present. All high touch areas (bathroom, sinks, door handles, debit machine, waiting area, etc.) will be wiped down periodically throughout the day as well as after any client interaction.

Dropped by in summer 2016/2017 with my partner while visiting Van. Jesse is usually booked up for months but had a cancelation that week and managed to fit us both in on the same day. There was a big issue that came up in the shop and Jesse had to step away to deal with it, but made a point to not charge us for the time lost. The tree frog I got is still vibrant and the lines held up great. The other artists present were very skilled and friendly. Definitely looking forward to getting more work from this shop.

I found Black Rider online and decided the reviews look good and to give them a try for 2 small tattoos that I wanted to get done on my arm. I booked in after speaking with someone on the phone about what I wanted. When I arrived they weren't expecting me and asked if I could come back in an hour. That really wasn't filling me with confidence and I didn't have an extra hour to spare. One of the other tattoo artists was just finishing up and agreed to "help me out" but she wanted to leave after doing just one of the tattoos I had scheduled. I paid the $120, left and called my friends to find out

I'm going to try to keep my experience/review to the point. I booked an appointment to get my first tattoo after reading the amazing 5 star reviews on this place. It looked promising. I show up on time, but I was shooed away to remain outside because of COVID-19 rules, I'm good with that. 10 minutes pass by... and another customer with lots of leg tattoos gets in line behind me, but after 2 minutes roughly she gets called in. No explanation from the staff. Was she there for a pre scheduled appointment? What about the COVID rules I was just briefed on?

I got my first tattoo here, and it was a great experience! We had called 3 days in advance and with such short notice, (as they do take walk-ins) they were more than happy to take 3 of us! (Although next time I'll make an appointment a few weeks ahead of time) We got there and everyone was super friendly and welcoming. Alison was our tattoo artist, she has incredible work and and didn't seem bothered when 3 of us huddled around her to watch my mom get her first tattoo. The shop looks awesome inside, and it's a clean, professional environment. The work was incredible, and it seems every day I work I get another compliment about my tattoo, which is healing phenomenally.
From the outside, the studio has such little outside presence that it's easy to pass out by and almost not notice it, but I implore you to check it out. Everyone does great work.
