Services
Victoria Surgery was created to be of service to others. This drives every decision we make and every action we take. The end result is the highest level of medical and surgical care in a first-class professional facility focused on the well being of patients and staff alike. This deeply held belief was incorporated into the design of the facility.
Formerly Victoria Outpatient Surgery, our clinic was founded in 1966. We began with a philosophy that our patients come first. More than 50 years later our commitment to that philosophy continues as strong as ever. We have seen many changes and advances in medical care during the past five decades and we are proud to say that we have not only kept pace - we have excelled.
Victoria Surgery specializes in a range of procedures that are appropriate for a private surgical facility, from hernia repair and varicose vein treatments to laparoscopic abdominal procedures and spinal surgery. Your health is our priority so we have strict guidelines dealing with patient selection.
Victoria Surgery is an Ambulatory Surgery Center, also called a Non-hospital Surgical Facility or Day Surgery Clinic. Ambulatory Surgery Centers deal with patients who can be sent home within several hours after their surgery. Victoria Surgery is fully equipped to deal with most emergency situations.
In consideration of patient confidentiality, we request that you contact us by phone rather than email. We do not take credit card information over the phone. Victoria Surgery is open from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM weekdays, and may be open later later depending on workload. Access to the elevator is through the underground parkade or via the doorway off of Nanaimo St.

It is such a shame because the doctors are really great, but the attitude in reception is disgusting.
I had a smear test booked today, and I was more anxious about dealing with the receptionist than the actual procedure. Rightfully so, as I soon found out. Absolutely horrible, awful, catty, women, they are blunt and unfriendly, they make you feel like you’re bothering them every time you turn up, and I have overheard them laughing and giggling about other patients on more than one occasion. Not really what you want when you aren’t feeling well or worried about your health!
Have tried to complain

Good nurses, only one doctor who will actually help you and the receptionists are horrendously rude. Also, have been on the SAME prescription for nearly 10 years and they still somehow manage to mess it up. Don't even bother with the pharmacy there, the man in there has a disgusting attitude much like the receptionists.

Rather shocked. My father has been with this surgery since I was born.
After a stay in hospital he was requested a follow up appointment with the GP. Couldn’t get an appointment for a week and a half, we fully appreciate they are busy this time of year.
After he experienced some retuning symptoms, I urged him to request a telephone call back from the surgery.
He also had some very important questions about his medication which was running out (including an inhaler).
Granted he was called back by a Doctor, but unfortunately she was really rude, cut him short and said ‘’I have to go now
