We have been 2 years at Highland Pines. We do like how close it is from us. The grounds are very well kept, they have 3 pools, playgrounds and other amenities. The fees are very high which is why I cannot give them 5 stars. I believe they want to be seen as a resort when they will always be a beautiful campground. They keep adding rule after rule, not that that's bad, some rules are just ridiculous in my opinion, like not letting people build their own decks, materials bought only through them, etc. All in all, we enjoy it, for now.

A whole lotta money for a ton of nothing. You’d think they’d reduce the rates for the end of the season. No pool, no laundry facilities, no TV reception, no wifi!! No information when we signed in. We have never been so disappointed with a campground. The firepits are dug so deep you almost twist your ankles to tend the fire, somebody is gonna get hurt with those!! If we could rate a -3 we would. Not worth the gas to get there👎👎👎

We had an amazing time at this park, the only downside was all the golf carts, they didn't care to share the road and they would actually drive right through your site, with you there! Other than that, fantastic park, lots of amenities, great sites too!

Beautiful well kept campground, very family oriented. Grounds kept immaculate. Staff driving around all weekend emptying garbage etc making sure the place was pristine. Nice sized lots where we were. Probably the nicest and best family campground we have visited in Ontario. Keep up the good work!

We did pop up tent camping here. Good size site. Clean and no major issues with service here. BUT...The sites with water and electricity for camping are right along a major road.... or it sure sounded major. Transports and trucks with oversized tires screaming up and down until 2 am. Not a restful experience we had hoped for.
Clean and well taken care of. Horrible long walk to the bathroom for us..
This would be a great place if you had motor home and a golf cart to get to and from showers/bathrooms. Beach is a good hike from camping sites....
Not worth what we paid for the site.

This is an amazing park. We spent the canada day long weekend here and it was the best. They have 3 swimming pools a couple playgrounds, couple splash pads and lots of things for kids to do. There is a lake with a sandy beachfront. All the people in the park were so welcoming and friendly. A great place for a family getaway. Would definitely go back. 10/10 would recommend!

We stayed in an overnight services site. BE AWARE of extreme road noise. In any of the sites F1-F13 You will not get much sleep and no privacy. Road noise all day. Sadly the campground failed to mention this extreme road noise while booking. Although the heated pool was nice and the park is friendly and clean, We won’t be returning.

Great campsite, with tons of things to do for kids. We stayed in one of the cabins, which were located in the private lots section and right beside the beach. The cabins are pretty basic, with one double and one bunk bed, a fan, couple of lights and outlets and not much more. The bed mattresses are gym mats, lined with a thick rubbery skin. Not very comfortable at all, but beats a sleeping bag on the ground. Each cabin has a patio, a coal grill, inground fireplace and a picnic bench. Overall, pretty pricey imo at 160/night, but good enough for to say I'd do it again. There are other sections where

Our kids were 100% game to stay for the 2 nights and we loved all of the different activities available. what a breath of fresh air during this Covid-19 mess! Super clean park, easy in and out, very friendly staff, the P section was where we stayed and we loved it was perfect for our tent, we cooked everything over the fire what a truly roughing it experience and will Definitely go again!! Already booked for September! If your looking to try out camping with little ones in tow this is definitely the place

Quiet at start of season. Lots of full hook up sites for travellers completely separate from the seasonal sites.

Cancel your reservation a month out (made in early January) because they've made a LAST minute decision to change sites to permanent with no offer of a new site. No remorse. Just to go to the bottom of their wait list. A decent business owner who truly cares about FAMILY camping would make these decisions PRIOR to opening booking for a season &… more than a month prior to a booking. Tried to blame Covid - I think we can all agree that we are all sick of that excuse & it's a poor one to hide behind - it's all about the $. My children where so disappointed they cried. Over the years

Yes there are reasonable rules but after travelling around with our travel trailer to close to 30 or more campgrounds, we came across this gem with lots to offer - 3 pools, 2 splash pads, beach, newly added tennis court, parks, a massive 80 foot pirate ship, basketball, horseshoes, shuffleboard, volleyball, etc... There are planned activities… throughout the summer and the park is always clean. The staff are amazing and we made this our permanent home away from a few years ago and upgraded to a park model. I literally cry every year we have to close up at the end of the season and count

Well we love Highland Pines, we recently purchased a trailer and have enjoyed the park every weekend since. super kid friendly. Our fellow campers are fun, the staff is great, the amenities are awesome, and we are looking forward to phase three being completed. Belwood lake as a back drop is the best. Fergus is not to far away, and and we are 50 Min from home if the weather is not good. You can't ask for more.

Absolute worst service ever!!! The owner thinks that he is King S#@$! His response is "Oh well" or "I have a waiting list". His "I don't care" attitude will come back to haunt him - KARMA BUDDY. We left before we got to enjoy anything, so it would be unfair to rate the overall place. But our campsite looked like they made it up when they thought they could squeeze 4 more sites in one spot. Back onto the road is horrible with the traffic going by. Quite away from beach, pool and playground. No where on their website does it say that you can't set up more than
