A beautiful smile makes a lasting first impression. A healthy bite relates to overall wellness. Dr. Richardson believes that it is her responsibility to provide every patient with a customized treatment plan that delivers both: health and beauty! Dr. Richardson and her team invest 100 % into their patients journey toward that beautiful smile.

They believe in making every visit positive and fun, and have a honest interest in their patients' lives as well as their teeth. Here at drgracesbraces, we are all about making you smile! My focus on the specialty of Orthodontics began in 2001, and since then I've treated hundreds of patients: adults and teens alike.
Services
Karen is our friendly face at our reception desk when you come through our doors. Karen really enjoys working with the public and makes everyone feel welcome while they are visiting our office. Karen is the proud mother of two grown children and an avid sports fan, especially her beloved Toronto Maple Leafs.
My focus on the specialty of Orthodontics began in 2001, and since then I've treated hundreds of patients: adults and teens alike. Nothing is more gratifying than creating beautiful smiles and seeing my patients' reactions when we remove their braces! Every single day I get to be part of this experience, and I just love being responsible for transforming their smiles and providing confidence that my patients will have for the rest of their lives.
Dr. Grace grew up in Stellarton where she now lives with her husband and two daughters. She has been a practicing Orthodontist for over 12 years, and is happy to be back working in her hometown where she opened a new office in April of 2011. Dr. Richardson now has a second location in Antigonish, which celebrated its grand opening in August of 2012.
At your first Orthodontic visit Dr. Richardson will complete a thorough Orthodontic examination to determine your Orthodontic needs. Our office generally schedules 45 minutes for this appointment to give the doctor ample time to evaluate the patient, as well as answer all of your questions. She may request a special orthodontic X-ray called a "panoramic" to help her diagnose the problems.
The American and Canadian Associations of Orthodontists recommend that children be evaluated by a certified Orthodontist by the age of 7. Having your child examined at an early age may help Dr. Richardson detect developing problems, and may prevent more serious dentofacial problems in adolescence. It also gives Dr. Richardson baseline information regarding your child's dentition, as well as the bones of their jaws and face.
