To ensure that the right to comprehensive health and medical care as well as the federal responsibility to provide resources for the care, as guaranteed under the terms of Treaty Six are in fact maintained. Therefore the mission of the Saddle Lake Health Care Providers is to ensure the design and delivery of efficient and effective programs meet the needs and promote holistic wellness for all members of the Saddle Lake Cree Nation.

The Saddle Lake Cree Nation Community Wellness Program is located at the Eagle's Healing Lodge. Our aim is to improve the mental health and well being of the Saddle Lake Band Members living in the community and strengthen and support the child, family and community using a holistic approach. Situated on the beautiful shores of Saddle Lake, approximately 5.5 km Northeast of the complex/townsite.
Services
Providing excellent Health Care for the Saddle Lake Community and surrounding areas. The following services and provided with professional care, we take pride in all services provided, along with our friendly staff. The Saddle Lake Health Care Centre is funded by First Nations and Inuit Health (FNIH).
The Matrix Program is an Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program and runs for 12 weeks 3 times a week. The Matrix Program is geared to helping community members who want to go in a rehabilitation program but do not have to leave the community. The Matrix Program empowers the client by implementing awareness, education and support in order to retain a sober and healthy lifestyle.
The Parent Child Outreach Program (PCOP) is a vital component to health and wellbeing of expectant mothers and unborn child. It is designed to address the effects of alcohol and drugs during pregnancy and the importance of healthy pregnancy. To create awareness and provide support for expectant mothers struggling with addictions and to ensure the delivery of healthy alcohol and drug free babies.
The Saddle Lake Coordinated Home Care Program is a comprehensive integrated and coordinated home care and assisted living program to assist Saddle Lake First Nation peoples to achieve and maintain health, well-being and personal independence in the community utilizing a holistic approach. To gather information on the clients need for service, their support networks, and the appropriateness of services available.
The Saddle Lake Head Start Program was initially under the Education Department for approximately 5 years. It came under Health last year with some strict requirements. Head Start is not licensed and follows no set guidelines at present, but each Head Start site adopts guidelines form Daycares and the K-4 programs.
