Since opening in 2001 Body 'N' Sole has been owned and operated by Nikki MacGillvary Bsc, C Ped (C), C Ped Tech (C), a certified and experienced Orthopaedic Technologist and Pedorthist who hails from Cape Breton. Nikki studied at the University College of Cape Breton (UCCB), where she received a Bachelor of Science degree and then a Certificate of Orthopaedic Technology.
She then continued on to the Nova Scotia Institute of Technology (NSIT), where she received training in Medical Laboratory Technology. She has also received extensive training from Orthopaedic Surgeons and Technologists to become one of the few Certified Orthopedic Technologists in the Halifax/Dartmouth area.

At Body 'N' Sole our certified staff members bring a broad base of knowledge and experience in treating various orthopaedic and pedorthic injuries and problems. Nikki was amazing to deal with. The consultation for new orthotics was an hour and she is very thorough finding out exactly what my needs were. I've had the new orthotics for about 2 weeks now and am finding them more and more comfortable each day. I have recommended my wife to give her a call and would highly recommend anybody else to do the same.

Walking on Sunshine... Nikki is very pleasant and knowledgeable about feet and foot pain and discomforts,I have tried the rest now will stick with the best I have been wearing orthotics for the last 20 years and my experience with her was my very best,I received my orthotics placed them in my sneakers transfer them to my work boots on work days as I work in a construction environment and spend many hours on my feet on concrete floors and standing on ladders for extended periods of time I have had zero issues and best of all no need for a return visit to have them altered as I have had to do with
