At OSPIKA ANIMAL HOSPITAL, we treat your pets like the valued family members they are, because we are pet owners too! For After Hours Emergency Service we have partnered with VetTriage to offer video telehealth services. The Vet Triage veterinarians are available 24/7 and for a small fee, will assess your pet on live video chat to determine if your pet requires immediate emergency care, or simple monitoring at home until we reopen.

Birds* - We are pleased to perform nail trims, beak trims, wing clips on all sizes of birds. Orthopedics : including fracture repair, Luxating Patella, TPLO, cruciate ligament repair. Our appointment book is computerized which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability.

2. We accept major debit cards, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard) and cash. All cards must be signed by the owner of the card. 3. When unexpected illness strikes a pet, unexpected expense strikes as well. Ospika Animal Hospital understands this and is able to make some special arrangements through the PetCard Canada program.

Meet Our Doctors Report

Dr. Larry Steele and Dr. Aaron Fotsch began Ospika Animal Hospital, originally called All Mobile Vet Services, in the early 90's. They began doing large animal house calls and small animal medicine in clinic. In 2005 the practice name became Ospika Animal Hospital and changed its focus primarily to Small Animal care.

Meet Our Technologists Report

Ramona came to Ospika Animal Hospital in 2000 as a vet tech. Raised on a farm, Ramona was always the animal lover of the family. She decided to turn that passion towards the care of small animals. Now as our Manager she strives to help our animal patients feel safe and our clients informed. Ramona's finds it exciting to be a part of an ever changing profession.

They loved my little old lady, took her right in and took great care of her. We then had our extra needs daughter bring in her bearded dragon , who past away (her first pet). The ladies where so kind, gentle, and compassionate. I hope picking her up is not as hard as dropping off.

Ospika Animal hospital has always been there for our boys (two german shephards and a lab mix). They are made to feel as comfortable as possible and are greeted well with many treats. The staff and vets are professional, personal and reliable each time and are quick with any appointments/procedures. They took my dog in for an emergency exam and then fit us in their surgery schedule to deal with an issue that every other clinic had deferred us away and would not accept new patients. Professional and attentive, I highly recommend! My dog is doing so much better now. Thank you!

My cat Misha was a 20 yr female dying of old age and I was able to get an appointment with them to help Misha cross the rainbow 🌈 bridge to Heaven peacefully. Her last days were full of suffering and loss of function of organs and howling in extreme pain. I have her ashes in a beautiful wooden box. They were kind, helpful and caring. Thank you.

The swift actions of the team of Doctors that came in at 10:30pm on a Wednesday night saved Lukas’s life. He had a twisted stomach (GDV) and after a 4.5 hour surgery he pulled through. The staff that took care of his recovery in the following 48 hours couldn’t have been nicer and supportive with Luke. He has since been recovering at home and is as good as new.
