Services
At the Hi-Way 9 Group of Companies, we understand who our company is and what we can best provide our valued customers. We are extremely close to our customers and will continue to strengthen those relationships, anticipating their needs and maintaining our reputation as a responsive transportation supplier to the Central/South Alberta market.
We are dedicated to continuous improvement of our quality systems through consistent measurement of our performance and consistent training of our team members. All team members are encouraged to contribute and to accept individual responsibility. We are a quality conscious organization that encourages an environment rich with motivation, creativity, communication and flexibility.
We are dedicated to maintaining the highest safety standards. We promote safety, teamwork and professionalism by fostering an environment where mutual respect and excellence are acknowledged and rewarded. The objective of safety is to prevent injuries, loss of life, occupational illness and damage to property and the environment.
We understand how fashionable it is to be green but its nothing new at Hi-way 9. We started back in 1992 by limiting the speed of our vehicles to 100 km/hr. We followed that by utilizing long combination vehicles (two loads/1 power unit) in 1996 and implementing a "no idle" policy in 1998.
We were the first company to purchase EPA compliant vehicles in 2007 and we've always made a point of rewarding our drivers for safe, efficient operation of Hi-way 9 vehicles. We continue to implement initiatives to protect generations to come. Proper spec trucks, we are LTL carrier so loads are lighter, hence we can use smaller horsepower and single axle trucks and trailers, less rolling friction.

No other carrier has the saturation and number of direct service points to serve Central and South Alberta like we do. Overnight and same-day LTL (Less Than Truckload) are the core services of our company and have been since 1969. In recent years we have also added 2 levels of time critical service in response to our customer changing requirements.

Terrible service and not organized, they lost my shipment and managed to say that it was my problem and didn't offer anything in return, was supposed to be 1 day shipping and was disappointed when it never came at all. when choosing shipping I would highly recommend NOT choosing this company and choose ANYONE else other than hiway9

I was expecting an order to be delivered at 2 separate occasions. Both times my order didn't show up. The first time I wasn't home, the second time the truck was too big to make it down my street. Not once did anyone get a hold of me to tell me my order wasn't coming and they would make arrangements for a later date. Both times I had to call looking for my order to find out where it was . Maybe in the future you should call to let the person know so he doesn't sit at home waiting for an order that's not coming when I coulld be out doing other things I need to do
