Our Hearing Instrument Practitioner has a 4 year Bachelor of Science Degree and a 2 year Hearing Practitioner Diploma specializing in hearing aid trouble shooting and programming (6 year total) and over 16 years experience.
Our clinic offers the professional service of both a certified hearing instrument specialist and a doctorate level audiologist to provide you with the best possible support and outcome. She is originally from Saskatchewan where she owned and operated 2 full time Hearing Clinics and several service clinics.
During your examination you will be tested using a series of low & high frequency words to determine your ability to understand verbiage within a conversation. We will also give you several words to repeat. The results will help us determine your percentage of hearing loss, your ability to understand speech and how hearing aids will improve your ability to hear.
The Battery Club is a convenient way to make sure you always have hearing aid batteries when you need them. Hearing aid battery club members receive special discounts on hearing aid batteries. Although hearing aids are a great help, sometimes you may still miss small sounds in your everyday environment.
A diagnostic hearing evaluation is the first step in determining your hearing capability. If you have a hearing loss, it will detail the extent, type, and specifics of your particular hearing loss. The diagnostic hearing evaluation will be performed by a hearing care professional, usually in his or her office, using equipment called an audiometer.

I first went to AHC 4.5 years ago for my first pair of hearing aids, they have been awesome since day one. They answered all my questions, taught me how to use and care for my hearing aids, cleaned them a few times along the way for no charge. I just bought my second pair and they suggested a different paid based on my feedback on the first pair, and they are even better. I drive 200kms to use AHC and it's well worth the drive.

First off I am deaf. I have worn hearing aids and used assistive devices for years.
Recently one of my hearing aids developed problems. They sent the hearing aid back to the manufacturer for an evaluation and repairs.
The work done was fantastic.
The cost, if the repair, was a little more than I could afford. But the clinic was more than willing to help me set up a payment plan.
I've also recently had hearing test there. I'm really pleased with the way I was treated at the test.
If you are anywhere in the Fraser Valley and need a hearing test or your gearing aids serviced this is where you

Friendly and polite. Had a good experience at this clinic. Doctor gave me good advice and didn't try to push me into getting anything unnecessary. Would recommend to others.

August 2019 - A year ago I posted a glowing review (below) and I can only reinforce what I said then. Compassionate, caring people with truly amazing after-care. Two years after my mom bought her hearing aids, AHC are still providing batteries, wax guards and cleaning packs as well as providing regular servicing and cleaning. All at no additional cost. I wish I could give then more stars! August 2018 - Really superb after sale care and better prices along with excellent product should make AHC your only stop for hearing aids. I can't recommend them highly enough.

I am so thrilled with Dr. Loewen. She is so thorough in her assessments. She does it all with kindness taking care to be sure I understand all the ramifications. In addition, she managed to get me qualified with Work Safe BC for a hearing disability and the benefits that come with that. I owe her alot. Maybe even a Saskatoon pie.
Paul does a terrific job of fitting and maintaining my hearing aids. He is very patient and thorough with his explanations.
I continue to come to Abbotsford Hearing despite now living in White Rock.
