Amanda's is back open and we thank our customers for being patient while we worked hard to reopen. We the Kwan's, after owning a restaurant in Kamloops moved to the coast and then found ourselves in search of a new adventure and beautiful Nelson B.C was our destination. Shortly after our arrival we purchased the well known Seven Sea's restaurant on Baker Street downtown Nelson.
In 2002 we moved our location across the big Orange Bridge in Nelson and we continue to offer the locals and the many travellers great Chinese and Western Cuisine. The move was a great thing for us and our many customers with great parking and a comfortable relaxing setting. We went from a coffee shop style place to a family dining hot spot.

We have been to Amanda's a few times because it gets good reviews. It was bad. Went again must have been a bad day. It was bad. Went because my friends wanted to it was terrible. Our Guests ordered take out unbeknownst to us even the dogs turned it down. Sorry to diss a small business but it's to expensive to order food that no one can eat. In a city of great food go elsewhere.

I really dont understand why the reviews are so high. it's gotta be family and friends. Small town I guess. No other Chinese options around and a city full of mainly white people don't know real Chinese food. Bland simple "western" style Chinese. City food court Chinese is better than this. Club sandwich was super dry as well.
