Love this place! I have been going for over a year and the staff are always courteous and professional. I always see Bianca, she is the best!
Update 2017, 3 years later this place is still number 1 spa imho. The quality of service has been solid throughout almost 5 years now. They always keep up to date on the best products. I see Bianca but there isn't a staff member there I wouldn't see, they are all great.

I was so impressed by my Brazilian I had to leave a google review. Not only was Sarah professional she was super down to earth and made my entire experience that much more comfortable. Also should add that I’m 9 months pregnant she was overall one of the best and most amazing esthetician’s I have had. I will definitely be going back and would highly recommend her to friends! Great experience 10/10!

I recently moved to Ottawa and needed to find a place to start getting my eye brows waxed, this was the first place I tried and I will never have to look again! I have never had such a nice, friendly, professional service! I have had so many botched eyebrow stories and the aesthetician took time to listen to exactly what I wanted and walked me through each step to make sure we got it. I have been going to Sophia esthetics for waxing and facials and I am very satisfied with my experience. I have seen Bianca who is always on time and very efficient and experienced at her job. I always feel reassured in terms of what she is doing to ensure I feel comfortable at all times. She will always provide helpful advice and is great to talk to.
I have also seen Brittany, who is also very friendly and knowledgeable. She is very efficient while being very detailed oriented which is very nice to see.

I love Sophia Esthetic!! They were recommended to me by a friend for laser hair removal. I have now been a client for almost a year and every visit has been great! Bianca is extremely professional and kind. The rest of the team is also very friendly and its always a great atmosphere when I walk in. Went here for a Brazilian wax twice. Didn't particularly like it the first time but decided to try again because it's location is convenient. After going the second time, I can definitely say I do not recommend this place. The wax was too hot and burned my skin. Also. Not all of the hair was fully removed and I only noticed it later on when I was gone. I know it's an invasive thing to have waxed but I feel like the person doing it should make sure to get all hair when doing a Brazilian, even if it means getting all up in there. I'm sure if I had called back they would offer

Just got a Brazilian for the first time and it wasn't that bad! Josie did mine and it was fairly quick. I felt completely comfortable. The room looks nearly medical, very clean, organized ect. Receptionist were friendly and squeezed me in between appointments. It was nothing special and they did a good job, so yeah, I would recommend. Although I'm looking forward to trying out other spas like Vivianna Day spa next time. (3 Brazillians for 60 as opposed to 1 for 45+tax/tip, equaling to 60)

The interior, while not particularly homey, was clean and fairly modern. It's a bit hard to get to-- you have to go up a kind of sketchy stair well up three or four floors. The staff was friendly, perky women, and I didn't have to wait more than 5 minutes. The reason I am giving this place 4 stars was the quality of the waxing. I've been getting underarm waxes for about 6 months now, and this was the only place that didn't leave baby hairs behind that started growing back in only a few weeks! First time getting wax and I chose to do a Brazilian sugaring wax. When I arrived the spa is small but cozy, looked clean and I was greeted in a friendly manner. My Esthetician was Josie. Josie is very friendly and respectable; left the room for me to get ready and knocked before entering. Josie even recommended that I just do traditional waxing instead of sugaring because it was my first time and based on my hair density.

1) The technician missed two spots the first time I came there and the second time as well.
2) I inquired about their cellulite reduction program. The receptionist said that I need an appointment for a consultation. I asked her how much time this initial consultation would take. She said 5 minutes. I asked if I could have the consultation now since I was already there so that I would not have to drive again to the spa to have the consultation (it is a long drive for me). I came here for my very first Brazilian wax, encouraged with the purchase of a Groupon. I mention the Groupon, because usually when I use a Groupon for a service businesses have select appointment windows and it can sometimes be difficult to get a convenient time-slot--Sophia Esthetic was a pleasant exception. Their receptionist was friendly and super accommodating with the schedule.

To get here all you have to do is pass the Bridgehead coffee shop, cross the faux tan salon and scale two flights of stairs! It's a touch hard to find this place, but you'll be glad once you do. I had a very thorough, ten-minute (!) Brazilian wax with Bianca and it was worth every penny of my $45 (with student discount). These days, that seems to be the cheapest Brazilian wax you can get in Ottawa--and possibly the best!
