Stride Orthopaedics is a full service pedorthic facility, employing four full time Canadian Certified Pedorthists who have degrees in Kinesiology, who are also trained in the fit of orthopaedic bracing and compression fitting. We specialize in the biomechanical assessment and management of lower limb problems through the use of proper footwear, foot orthotics, footwear modification and lower limb bracing.

Stride Orthopaedics & Footwear was founded on one basic principle; everyone deserves to participate in life. Participating in life means different things to different people. For some it means succeeding at a high level of sports, achieving a personal best in a marathon, skiing the 50 km course at the Sleeping Giant Loppet, or playing an entire season of basketball without those nagging shin splints.
Some of the most satisfying moments have been allowing a patient to return to work, achieve a personal best, or just go for a walk. Pedorthics can be that simple and that rewarding! Richard Bosch was educated at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario, and obtained an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology Degree in 1995.
Tarja Shipston received her Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph in 1987.
After extensive experience working in Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, specializing in lower limb problems (mostly knee and foot and ankle problems) and working in a weekly Foot Clinic with a Sports Medicine physician, Tarja received her Certified Pedorthist (Canada) designation in 1997, and in 2003 joined the newly formed College of Pedorthics.Tarja realized the importance of providing a full service Pedorthic Facility to the community.

Plantar fasciitis means inflammation of your plantar fascia. Your plantar fascia is a strong band of tissue (like a ligament) that stretches from your heel to your middle foot bones. It supports the arch of your foot and also acts as a shock-absorber in your foot. What causes plantar fasciitis? Repeated small injuries to the fascia (with or without inflammation) are thought to be the cause of plantar fasciitis.

November 2020 One Kind and helpful receptionist; however the other receptionists and technicians did not consistently keep records of calls and information from me about my request. I've been in pain and unable to walk properly for a year. I was just asked "so where do we go from here" I said throw my file in the garbage, obviously this was the wrong place to deal with.
If I could give you a minus 100 stars I would. Thank you for not doing anything for 1 whole year and not keeping track of my file, etc.....
