Services
Within four short years, the Cherry Beach Soccer Club (CBSC) has doubled its membership and grown to 56 house league, 10 competitive and 6 adult teams. More importantly, over 30,000 children and youth in the Beaches and downtown core now have access to quality, affordable soccer that they can get to by public transit.
The club has a number of policies that have been established over time. They are integral to the successful operation of the club. In addition, we have taken the opportunity to enrich certain policies that in recent years have become elevated in importance within the soccer community - we now have a Code of Conduct to Protect Children and an Accessibility and Inclusion policy which expands on our existing Equity and Inclusion policy (CBSCPOL16).
And can be played everywhere and anywhere. That is also FUN. Let the kids be kids! Football can be played by everyone regardless of age, gender, religion, ethnic or social background and level of fitness. Generally, Cherry Beach Soccer Club subscribes to FIFA's view of the full definition of 'Grassroots' soccer but with three exceptions.
The Club is always looking for volunteers to help with the Indoor and Outdoor Season. We take both youth and adult volunteers as coaches, assistant coaches and to help with large Club events. The CBSC is a non-profit organization, run by a volunteer Board of Directors. The following are ways that you can ensure that your soccer club is prosperous by volunteering your time!
Please note that all paid positions within the club are treated as sub contractors. Coaches and referees are required to provide invoices with the agreed rates to the club in order for the club to issue payment. We are continuously looking for convenors, coaches and referees, so please email the club with your resume & cover letter.

Excellent re-introduction to organized sport post-pandemic for my 2 boys (age 7 and 5) in house league. Uniform pick up was organized as was day 1. They LOVED IT. Thank you!

Overall the competitive/rep program is a very positive experience. The coaches place a heavy emphasis on teaching the right way to play and love the game and reinforce it with positive methods so the kids learn and grow from all of their experiences (including mistakes and things they can do better). As a result their confident increases and they grow both as people and as players.
When you consider a club and look at reviews, it’s important to separate out the house league comments from the competitive/rep program comments. House league programs always vary in quality because it depends on

The worst club that is menaged by a menager and his wife who have no idea the word organization. Also you have to be careful of giving them your credit card information. This is a nightmare club.

Both my son and I have played year-round for the past several years in the Cherry Beach Soccer Club. I play the Men's Over 35 Divison and my son plays for their U-14 (born 2005) rep team.
The facilities are great and the coaches for my son's team have been fantastic.

This club is completely disorganized. The president , John Hendricks is unfortunately not qualified to run the organization.
-there is no communication to the house league players or parents as to when games are scheduled or not on long weekends for example.
-the coaching staff is very hit and miss depending on the age group. Most qualified coaches have departed due to dysfunction at the head office level.
-house league is entirely staffed by parent volunteers
Often chosen without their knowledge.
- Dino Mastrogiannis is the technical director for U11. He often leaves coaching duties to parent

I joined the Cherry Beach Soccer Club family as a coach five months ago. I've been a professional soccer coach for 25 years. I worked 20 years as a coach in the premier league’s professional clubs of Turkey. In addition, I worked as a Tutor in Turkish Soccer Federation. First of all, I would like to say that I have not worked with a president like John Hendriks in my 25-year coaching life. He is a perfect person with a high level, humble background, he has a very good soccer knowledge and vision and perfect communication with the coaches, athletes and parents. He spends 24 hours in the club and

We sent our son to this club this summer for house league after he graduated from Little Kickers with excellent coaches. Cherry Beach has the potential to be very good but it is unfortunately so disorganized and poorly staffed. Parents were asked to volunteer coach after we were initially told there would be a staff. It has been a different parent each week, and over the summer parents were eventually dropping out. It's been a real let down for the children, and a serious waste of money. Tonight there was no coach whatsoever. I would recommend you seek another club if you are looking for a professional

The coach on my kids team never showed up for any games the whole summer. The club did absolutely nothing to provide any types of backups. Parents, without any background check or training, had to step in the entire season and start coaching teams before each games. We do not recommend this soccer club.

The worst club that i’ve ever seen in my life. Playing in that league and bringing the kids to practice is a waste of time and money. Especially when you have to deal with the head manager.
