Waskasoo Medical Clinic is one of the largest family practices in Central Alberta. We have been providing high quality medical care and developing strong long-term relationships with our patients since 1946. Seek consultation with a travel medical specialist at least one month before travel. Ask about special vaccines that are recommended for specific destinations. First aid and medical kit containing regular and special medication for the trip - carry in hand luggage. Evacuation and travel insurance to cover health emergencies while abroad.
When you have finalized your travel plans you should book an appointment as soon as possible. Some vaccinations require time to build immunity or you may need a vaccination that requires a series of injections. When you are travelling, you may be at risk for a number of illnesses that can be prevented by vaccination.
Waskasoo Medical Clinic, established in 1946, is a Family Medicine clinic in Red Deer. We are located in downtown Red Deer. We are looking for two full-time physicians willing to step into a busy group practice. We provide care to all ages including pediatrics to geriatrics. There is an opportunity to participate in a palliative care call group (hospital palliative care unit and free-standing hospice) and nursing home care.
