Cherubini Metal Works Limited was founded by John and Jack Cherubini in 1967. Primarily an ornamental railing fabricator, the company was bought out in 1972 by Renato and Danilo Gasparetto. Renato and Danilo immigrated from Italy. They started their business by going door to door asking people if they wanted steel hand rails made for their front walkways.
It was with their relentless work ethic and determination that made Cherubini the largest steel fabrication company in Atlantic Canada.

Cherubini has continually sought out work that is particularly unique and challenging. We are restless innovators - we think of what's next, and we do it now. This business philosophy, paired with our investment in the best equipment available in the industry and our plants' capacity and flexibility to accommodate large and unique jobs allows us to take on difficult projects that others won't attempt.
Over 4,000 tons of fabricated components for three (3) new buildings at CFB Shearwater in Dartmouth, N.S. Orthotropic Steel Decks are an effective solution in new bridge design, refurbishment, or entire replacement of a bridge, especially when spanning long distances. With a 25 - 35% reduction in weight (compared to a traditional concrete bridge system), minimal traffic disruptions, and the reduction in life cycle maintenance costs, Orthotropic Steel Decks are a smart investment.
