My favourite sushi place in town. The sushis are great with fresh ingredients and the service is fast. I also think they have the best atmosphere/decor amongst all the sushis restaurants in Whitehorse. Only down side is that some sushi names on the menu are not translated so you have to ask a lot of questions if you want to understand the menu, but since I always get the same ones it is normally not too much of an issue. Great place nonetheless!

Service was ok, first waitress wasn’t as knowledgeable and couldn’t answer questions for us. Overall food was good - price was a bit higher then Vancouver- but that’s to be expected in Whitehorse . Just your average sushi restaurant .

This was some pretty damn good sushi. We got recommended this place by an acquaintance and it was delicious.
The beef yaki soba was absolutely delicious and I would highly recommend it!

Oh goodness! Some of the dishes are way overpriced. Specifically, we ordered the Pork Yaki Soba (pan fry). The taste of it was no different than a poorly made chow mein and not to mention its tiny portion couldn't even feed a regular-sized eater.

They prefer to argue that the customer is wrong when the customer calls to advise of a mistake. I ordered the crunch tuna sushi rolls and that is clearly not what I got.

Comparing to the other sushi restaurant Tokyo Sushi in town, this one is way better. Yaki soba is especially delicious.

I had a craving for Japanese food while in Whitehorse. My California roll and unagi don for dinner tasted great. Good service as my green tea was refilled regularly. Asahiya is operated by Mandarin and Cantonese speaking staff. Very friendly, I would go back here for dinner.

Good quality, fast service and good overall. Prices are pretty high even for whitehorse, sashimi was small pieces and only 8 for 20$! Gyoza was very good, rolls were fresh and tastey as well.

The shrimp tempura is cooked perfectly, the shrimp is delicately supple, succulent, the unagi bento box has is filled with unagi over rice, unagi tempura, unagi roll. The gyoza was crispy on the outside. The food quality of what we tasted was excellent in taste.
