Erdmann's Gardens & Greenhouses is a family owned and operated farm located in Westlock County, Alberta. We grow a wide variety of vegetables, potatoes and bedding plants, hanging baskets and planters. Our products are available at four Farmers' Markets in Edmonton and area and also at the farm. We farm sustainably and ethically, we are not certified organic.
We do soil tests in the fall and, in spring, apply the necessary fertilizer and micro nutrients to replenish the soil. We also re-incorporate the plants into the soil for organic matter. Registered sprays are used sparingly, when necessary. Now, as we move into fall harvest we are no longer open regular hours at the farm.

Erdmann's Gardens & Greenhouses was originally started by Rony Erdmann in 1983 as Erdmann's Vegetable Farm. The first year, production was approximately two acres and one Farmers' Market was attended. In 1986 he married Wendy, his #1 employee and in 1989 they added a greenhouse for bedding plants to extend their market season and thus became Erdmann's Gardens & Greenhouses.
We grow what we feel is safe, healthy food. We do soil tests yearly and add the fertilizer and micro-nutrients necessary to grow our vegetables. We also incorporate the "leftover" crops into the soil to increase organic matter. Crop rotation is also used to avoid the spread of disease and depletion of the soil.
We began attending this busy market in its early days in 1986. We have always attended the Sunday market and in 2013 began attending the Wednesday market also. Many of our customers have become our friends, and have watched as our family and farm have grown into what we are today. The market is located in the breezeway of the Marketplace at Callingwood, on 178 St and 69 Ave in Edmonton.
