It boasts over 75 sites with many amenities and easy access to a walking trail network that follows Whitemud Creek all the way to the North Saskatchewan River. Rainbow Valley Campground is managed by Snow Valley Ski Club, a not for profit organization. Snow Valley Ski Club was established in 1953 and registered as a not for profit in 1961.

Informally, people have been using the hill for skiing since 1948. Snow Valley operates under a management agreement with the City of Edmonton to manage the ski facility, Rainbow Valley Campground and, now, the Snow Valley Aerial Park, all located in Whitemud Park. You can learn more about us here.

A lovely campground. Only 20 minutes from downtown. Five minutes away from Safeway and Tim Hortons. The campground has a clean shower, laundromat, and clean washroom, especially the one beside the office. The site of the campground is pretty good, and it has a fire pit. The customer services are excellent, and the playground is good. Overall great experience!

The sites were spacious and grassy! Even though it isn't very private due to the size you weren't bothered by the neighbors. Staff made sure that people kept to the quiet times which were great. Bathrooms were a bit dirty and could do with a renovation, but overall a nice stay.

Rude and arrogant at the front desk. She is about my grand daughter's age. The lady at that time lectured and faulted me of not calling in with credit card details (in which the registered reservation would be cancelled by 6 pm.) I was in the office around 4 pm. with my credit card. She need to see the outside world on customer services, especially in travel industry. It was not like I messed up their allotment of tent sites because only three sites were occupied on the first day and none on the second. The plus side is the site and surrounding were well kept and location is within Edmonton.

Took my young kids here for an in-city practice run before camping out of town. Had a great time. Staff was nice, bathrooms were clean. A few nice parks / play structures for kids. Couldn't expect anything better for an in-city campground. Only negatives were that the tent sites were pretty close together and there were no fire pits (just fire boxes on poles).

Right in the middle of Edmonton with lots of highway road noise. The aerial park is located on the premise so there is lots of traffic. Bathrooms were good. Overall a decent place to put up a tent for a night or two.

It’s a campground that you park you unit and leave for the day. Campground needs tlc. Very close to your neighbour. Washrooms need better cleaning. Showers are hot and free but needs attention.
Only one washroom open and it’s shared with the people that come for the aerial park located at the entrance to the campground. You need $20.00 CASH to get a pass card for the duration of your stay to get in and out with your vehicle. Tree branches hang low, so be careful of you have a tall unit. Parking pads are more dirt than gravel. No fire pits! Just fire boxes which are very bent and rusted.

Rainbow valley park put on one of the most spectacular Christmas setups this year, the sculptures, the lights, and performances were spectacular. I’d rate this better than Castrol raceway just because of its insane performance this year.
Great effort, would most definitely recommend going before it’s over

Our special oasis in the City. Every month or so, Lola and I hop in the camper for a hike & overnight. A fantastic spot for front-country 'practice camping' with dogs or kids. And a beautiful location for traveling RVrs - bests a Walmart parking lot or highway RV park any day, any time, any where.

Nice campground with huge mature trees, beautiful walking trails and a great big aerial obstacle course. Only downside is no water service for the lots.

An owl was perched on a branch above our tent. Every dawn, almost on the cusp of sunbreak, an apparently racist murder of crows would gather around and intimidate said owl. They would squawk incessantly for minutes, then pause, only to be followed by a single taunting hoot from the owl, resulting in the murder riling up again. When we finally emerged from our tent several hours later, the owl was still perched above us, unmoved apparently from the night before, with a mess of crow feathers scattered about. This repeated each morning for three days; at no point did the crows realize that this
