Grubstake Pizza's unusual name comes from a mining term: a grubstake is a supply of tools and money to prospectors and would-be miners. In return, the supplier was entitled to a percentage of any profits. The term "Grubstake" is now more closely associated with the handmade pizza provided by a certain shop in Kimberley since 1992.

Grubstake Pizza slathers on the homemade sauce and fresh ingredients, baking their pies in a clay-lined, gas-fired oven. Their savoury trademark flavour is the result. Grubstake Pizza takes pride in being a member of the Kimberley community and supports local charities and events including the Community Swim program, the Kimberley Dance Academy and the local soccer program.

This place used to be a bit better. The pizza was ok, fair value for the price but lacked character and was a bit bland. The chicken wings were fairly soggy and didn't taste fresh.

Uninspiring. I grew up in Kimberley and thought I would order the best pizza in town when I was a kid and ended up with something that tasted plain. Maybe the sauce was off that night?

Only place in town open at 8pm on a Tuesday. Guys at the counter were great. Pizza was ok. Not awesome, but still a solid effort. Similar to a Pizza 73 or Dominos but with creative topping combos and locally inspired names.

We order pizza from Grubstake Pizza every time we visit Kimberley. The pizza's always hot, fresh and tasty. We often order a Shilo for the veggie lovers and a Mexican for the folks that like a bit of heat! Keep up the great work Grubstake Pizza we're already looking forward to our next visit/pizza night.
