The purpose of the Society is to develop, promote, extend and foster the game of soccer in the Province of British Columbia, Canada and to safeguard the interests of the clubs and teams competing in the VMSL, BC's premier amateur league. The Vancouver Metro Soccer League was founded in 1973, and presently comprises over 150 teams and over 4000 registered players, referees and coaches, from teenagers to old-timers. As Western Canada's largest men's League, it's membership consistently produces the top amateur men's teams in British Columbia across all age groups, as it continues to foster the most competitive amateur soccer in the Lower Mainland on a weekly basis.
Discipline hearings are now held via Zoom. You will receive an email from the Discipline Committee if you are required to attend a Disciplinary Hearing. If your status remains "tbd" and you have not received an email from the Discipline Committee by the following Tuesday after your ejection, please contact us directly at discipline@vmslsoccer.com.
The Vancouver Metro Soccer League (VMSL) is a full member of BC Soccer, the governing body for soccer in British Columbia. As such, the VMSL is subject to BC Soccer's Criminal Record Check Policy. The VMSL must obtain a copy of a Criminal Record Check (CRC) and a Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) from any person who helps run a team in the VMSL that registers youth age players or uses youth players on permit.
Player Registration costs $50 for RETURNING players (using last years' Login ID) and $60 for NEW players. This should be paid at the time of Registration with your credit card, or paid by the Team from the Team Page after your registration is complete. Unfortunately, this is disallowed by FIFA, CSA, BC Soccer and would result in a multiyear suspension if you were caught registered on two teams in sanctioned leagues.
