The body's ability to move may be altered following an injury, trauma, pain, illness, prolonged or repeated postures/movements, inactivity, stress or congenital anomalies. The more time spent fostering movement dysfunction the greater the impact on the whole body. Your friendly neighbourhood physiotherapist is a health care professional who specializes in restoring, maintaining and improving the movement of your body.
Developed by Vancouver Physician Dr. Gunn, Intramuscular Stimulation(IMS) is a therapeutic technique that involves the insertion of extremely fine "atraumatic" needles into affected/ injured muscles. Although IMS uses the same needles as acupuncture, it is founded on an entirely different theory. Often referred to as "dry needling, " IMS is a unique and invaluable approach to treating chronic muscle pain and neuropathic pain.
The vestibular system includes the parts of the inner ear and brain that process the sensory information involved with controlling balance and eye movements. Amusement park rides can be a fun way to spend time with kids and grandkids or they can be a dreadful experience if you become dizzy and nauseous easily.
You have several booking options (phone, email, online, website request form etc) but you may prefer to phone the office for your first booking. We suggest that you book at least 3 visits as most problems don't get resolved in one or two sessions. This will ensure that you receive follow-up treatment in a timely manner and recover quickly.
We want to accommodate as many folks as possible. There are appointments as early as 8am and as late as 9pm, depending on the therapist you wish to see. Saturdays are also available from 8 am until 4 pm. We recommend browsing the online schedule to see what suits your schedule best. If you can't see anything that works, please email or phone the office with your requests.

Best physio I have ever been too. I've tried a few physiotherapists and none were ever s good fit for me, I found I used to always leave physio in tears and in more pain then when i went in. after my car accident u started seeing Sue and she has been a miracle worker. I now see both Sue and Nicole and both are fantastic. they genuinely care about all of their clients. They give me exercises to do that are simple and easy to do and adapt to my lifestyle and have helped me tremendously

Like most athletes if you do what you love for long enough you end up with some sort of injury that just doesn't seem to want to heal/go away! For me it was my shoulder, after my 3rd visit to yet a different physio I was beginning to lose hope that I would ever be out of pain/discomfort. Thankfully a friend referred me to Sue Shalanski at Reach Physio and for the first time in 8 months I am no longer in pain and I have my mobility back. I cant speak more highly of Sue/Reach Physio. She takes a holistic approach, takes the time to understand what is going on and is super caring.

I really wanted to acknowledge the care that Katherine Smyth has provided for me. On-line booking made it easy for me to schedule with Katherine. On my arrival she exhibited a thorough, comprehensive approach that I appreciate. I wanted her input on my chronic upper back immobility. She identified how my participation in sports like golf and hockey as a youth and my current activities such as cycling, skiing, computer work and performing surgery all contribute to my back issues.
She provided acupuncture and cupping therapy during our consult and also reccomended ongoing exercises and attention

I have been going to Reach Physio since Feb 2010 for a serious elbow injury and have had excellent results with all that has been done for me. In fact my Dr. told me that she was very pleased with how fast my elbow had healed, she expected a much longer recovery time. They are totally focused on your recovery and are very professional.
