Dr. Champaigne is a bilingual registered Clinical Psychologist and Dr. Klassen is a registered Rehabilitation Psychologist. They are passionate about the field of psychology and the care of their clients. They work with children, adolescents, adults and families.

With their clinical expertise and experience in brain injury, biofeedback/stress management, mindfulness and sleep solutions, they implement a combination of well-established models of treatment along with the cutting edge innovations in the science of psychology.Drs. Champaigne and Klassen use an integrative approach that is tailored to the individual needs of their clients.
Services
Dr. Champaigne, is a Clinical Psychologist who has extensive clinical training and experience providing assessment and treatment for brain injury, rehabilitation, mindfulness and sleep therapies for adults, children and youth, since 1980. She has worked in a range of settings including hospital, out-patient mental health clinics, elementary, secondary and post-secondary schools as well as in private practice.
The DSM-V diagnostic guide defines PTSD as a traumatic event in which: "the person has experienced, witnessed, or was confronted with an event or events that involved actual or threatened death or serious injury, or a threat to the physical integrity of self or others." At Champaigne Klassen we treat both children and adults who have developed Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder from a very wide range of situations.
Research estimates that from 30-40% of people have difficulty getting to sleep and or staying asleep. The effects of poor sleep on mood, health and work productivity are alarming. Champaigne and Klassen have developed a unique sleep training program: The Sleep Solution. On-going outcome measurement of our clients over the years demonstrates a 90% success rate in significantly improving parameters of sleep.
The authors of the "Grief Recovery Handbook" stated: "With correct information and correct choices, a person can recover from any significant loss." Dr. Champaigne is a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist in the Grief Recovery Method, a structured action program for helping adults and for children move beyond all kinds of losses that can include death, and divorce, but also other losses such as, health, career and faith.
Fees for Psychological Services are not covered by OHIP clients are responsible for these fees. With coverage, we do bill directly to insurance companies: Motor Vehicle Accident Insurers, Workers Compensation Insurance (WSIB) and Blue Cross (Veteran Services).

When psychological services are covered by extended health care benefits through employers, we do ask for payment at each session and you will be provided a receipt that you can submit for reimbursement to your covering plan.Similarly, for individuals paying directly, we ask that you pay at each session and you will be provided with a receipt which can be used towards a tax deductible expense.

Don't go here. Unless you want to get burned by lying doctors that raise their voice at clients to inspire fear . Stay away beware be warned

Called for basic information after my son experienced a brain injury and felt like the person taking the call did not know enough about what service was they provide. Hung up thinking that call was pointless.
