I am a regular shopper at Hudson Bay. The customer service is always fantastic! Last time I went in to buy shoes and the sales associate was so helpful, I had to flag down a manager to tell her how well the sales associate performed.
Today I had a completely different experience at the Hudson Bay Store at Rideau Center.
I was there today 14th June 8.15 pm. I was looking to buy dress shirts and a tie.
Every time I ask for a shirt or a different color tie. The sales associate rudely point to where they are kept and tells me to help myself.

I have never had a good experience at this Hudson Bay. This visit we waited 10 minutes for a shoe department sales assistant to come from the back room, even after calling to the back for help and even walking partway to the back room and calling. While I went to another department to ask that sales assistant if they could get someone to help me (and the 3 other customers also waiting to be helped). As she went to find the department manager someone finally came to help us, but was still extremely rude. The time before this I was treated as a second class citizen simply because I was wearing a

I received excellent, professional customer service from Samra in the show Department. She dealt with a crowd very effectively and with a smile on her face and was extremely helpful in bringing shoes to me she thought I would like. She also versed me in the sales. A very good salesperson because I bought 5 pairs!

I have been through this location many times and never felt like the staff really care to help you. The staff in the suit department are great but anywhere else you feel like you're just bothering them. The prices are good if you go when stuff is on sale. I keep trying to make it work because it's part of Canadian heritage but unfortunately for them, people want service and to feel welcome.

Trying to get any sort of service in this store is a nightmare. Typically the only time I've gotten any sort of acknowledgement is when I'm ready to pay at the cash. However even then, many employees seem uninterested in processing a transaction, one girl directed me to the other side of the store to another register. The Bay sells good products, but when the vast majority of their employees make their customers feel like an inconvenience, it's not an experience worth repeating.

When you're actually there the customer is great, helpful and friendly. BUT its impossible to get a hold on somebody when you're calling. this is super frustrating, the stuff you're buying there is pretty expensive, so if you have any questions or concerns you better have it while being around. otherwise you can forget about any help as soon as you're out if the door. very disappointing! I've been calling now multiple times for a few days for a warranty related concern (a still warranty covered product is broken and I would like to talk to someone about the procedure) and I can't reach anyone,
