About Us Report

Joseph Reid began his greenhouse project in the winter of 1985. After months of construction and hard work, Southview Greenhouse Growers kicked off its first spring season of sales in 1986. Originally a five greenhouse operation, Southview Greenhouse Growers has grown to over 30,000 sq.ft. of greenhouse and garden centre area offering a full range of services.

Staff are super helpful and friendly. Been one of my favorite places to go since I was just a sprout. Tried to get a job there long time ago, but they only hire cute girls. I'm not complaining tho haha :p

Nice stuff. Lots of outdoor plants, not much for house plants. The greenhouses are so jam packed that I felt suuuper claustrophobic (there's just enough room to walk down the isles but even then you're probably gonna run up against the plants), so if that's something you have problems with, this may not be the place for you.

A good place to look for vegetable, flowering, fruit seedlings for the season. They have a varieties of them. The staff guide you in the choice etc of the plants. They also make available varieties of soil for your garden, composted cowdung and sheep / goat manure is also available. Even pebbles for the garden is available in bags. One more thing is the timing and the location of the farm are suitable for most of the consumers.

We bough basil, a tomato plant, and a trowel from here. The plants are doing well so far, and the trowel is of good quality. I like how the greenhouses are set up; there are signs announcing what each greenhouse holds and there is a lot of arrows to direct traffic.

Lots of variety. Wish they had better carts and wish they put the prices either on each plant or on a sign. You don't know prices for half the things until you go in to pay. Also I didn't see any potato or carrot plants

Charlie and company run a hell of a tight ship. Everything is organized and everyone is extremely helpful. Their service is top notch and their products are as well. Been getting all of my yard and garden supplies and plants there for many years.
