I simply LOVE this studio and the instructors! I started with the 6 week yoga challenge to get myself back into a routine and just fell in love with the practice and meditations. I highly reccomend this studio for beginners and experienced yogis! They teach you while they instruct and it is a nice relaxing vibe.

As the name suggests this is a down to earth yoga studio with a welcoming atmosphere! Has helped me maintain a regular yoga practice from Alena’s Hatha class to Jeff’s core yoga to Marcy’s gong bath. I love that there are seasonal classes and always something fresh to try + each instructor brings so much of their own personality and approach to yoga.

Great studio and feeling. The staff are awesome and a local business manager they are great to work and associate with. The staff are friendly and a joy to work with and lead the sessions.
The yoga sessions at the local brewery are also a must and for any men that think its a womens only exercise should try that (the beer bribe works).
Thank you for being such a cool part of the community.

What can I say that already hasn't been said about this gem of a place. As a student who has been practicing for at least 15 years in Vancouver I have been blessed to have been able to learn under some truly gifted teachers, yogis and spaces. Moving to North Vancouver 7 months ago, I grew weary that I would not find it again. I was wrong. The Yoga Root not only stepped up to do so but in such a short span of time. It is like an old friend where everything you feel is safe and familiar. Where everything resonates at all levels of being. Thank you Rachel and Yoga Root teachers for taking such good

Out of all the superficiality and aesthetically dominant business culture of the Yoga industry... Vancouver especially- The Yoga Root shatters all that and then some. Rachel Rozen who opened and operates YR truly stands in her ethics, morals, values and integrity as a 'Yogini.' She understand and listens actively, intently and proactively to her community, their needs and desires in order to provide them the experience THEY ask for.
Many experienced and well versed teachers call Yoga Root their home studio and place for practice, if I were closer to the studio as I live Downtown- I wouldn't hesitate

The Yoga Root is one of the rare few yoga studios with an authentically humble and serene presence. It's less focused on giving you a full-body workout, and more on connecting you with your body and breath -- true yoga. I've been loving their yin classes, and grateful for teachers who slow down and give you time to sink into postures. Thanks Rachel for opening this little gem in our community!

Since mid-2015 I've been looking for a new yoga studio to frequent on the North Shore. One that is friendly, has great classes at times convenient for me, with warm, interesting and creative instructors, and classes at a fair price. I stopped looking when my friend and I found The Yoga Root! Rachel and all the lovely teachers have created a studio which is welcoming, friendly, fun and challenging... all at the same time! Centrally located with ample parking, and class times that work for me. Thank you Yoga Root! I love spending time on my mat with you!

Great, tidy studio with a unique feel. I really feel at ease here. I like the intimacy of the class size and appreciate that the first and last person I see is the teacher- it's very personal. I've tried classes with almost all the teachers and have not left disappointed. Gordon's restorative class was truly an eye opening experience, along with Kyla, Joe, and Alex's classes which all gave me something new. I did 12 classes is 14 days and finally got to experience the true benefits of yoga when practiced regularly. My tight hips and pinched lower back never felt better. I'm now sticking to a more
