Sakku Investments Corporation (Sakku) is the Development Corporation of the Kivalliq Inuit Association (KIA). Under the Nunavut Land Claim Agreement, KIA is a designated Inuit organization which represents the interests of all Inuit living in the Kivalliq Region, with Sakku serving as its 'Business Arm' and deemed an Inuit Birthright Corporation.
Sakku has been mandated with developing sustainable wealth for the Inuit of the Kivalliq Region. Since its incorporation in 1989, Sakku has achieved its mission primarily through partnerships and joint venture companies. Sakku is not content with "just having partners" but aims to meaningfully participate and develop its own internal capacity to undertake specialized work.

Construction civil works and mining projects, earthworks, open pit, and general mining services, crushing, drilling and blasting services, underground mining, rental of equipment and personnel. Toromont CAT offers a complete line of Caterpillar heavy equipment along with maintenance and related services.
Sakku Enterprises Limited, based in Rankin Inlet, is a logistics company that provides leadership in freight handling; heavy lift capacity for the movement of sea cans, equipment and cargo, and fuel delivery. NSSI has a fleet of heavy-lift, large- tonnage vessels that provides service to Nunavut communities, government, individuals and business.
Sakku is committed to working with its partners to develop and enhance employment and capacity building opportunities for Inuit. Our goal is to increase the numbers of trained and capable individuals working within our Group of Companies. Training and Employment opportunities are posted as they become available.
