Studio 21 is one of the "Prime Galleries" in Halifax Nova Scotia. It has local, Canadian international art stars showcaseing on its walls at all times. Contemporary artists. It is located close to the Halifax Libary & Spring Garden Road.
It is a must visit when visiting Halifax.
Locals should be stopping by every 2 to 3 months.
A simply delightful way to pass an afternoon talking to their friendly staff talking about the local art scene

Studio 21 is a beautiful gallery, with professional, knowledgeable, and friendly staff. I have found the gallery to be a sanctuary in downtown Halifax, and a treasure trove of Canadian art. Their collection is vast and varied, and they are committed to supporting contemporary Canadian artists. If you haven't had the chance to visit Studio 21, I highly recommend dropping in - not only for the art, but for the beautiful space, and the friendly faces.

This is a fantastic art gallery. From the moment you walk in the door and you are greeted by the knowledgable and professional staff (plus the dynamic and dynamite owner :-) to the mind boggling wonderful "assault on your senses" from the beautiful art, the expertly curated collections and spectacular shows...well, you simply just want to stay there. Never leave. And to make up for the fact that this is an art gallery and not a hotel...well... you simply must purchase and take home a piece or two. I have done exactly that and my collection boasts of many of Studio 21's talented artists. Oh did

Truly an outstanding collection of art that will appeal to any taste. Whether you are a first time buyer, or a seasoned art collector, you are sure to find something that speaks to you. Not to mention the beautiful, airy and light filled space that is both inviting and inspiring. Will be back again very soon to find that special something, and to feel the good vibes.

Studio 21 represents a diverse and thoughtful selection of artists. Ask the staff to tell you about some of the pieces and their providence and you'll surely be treated to a warm and affectionate description of the artist, as well as a deep understanding of the intention behind the piece. Absolutely worth a visit.

On Mar 12 I drove for over an hour to visit this gallery and the new exhibits. It was my first time in. I were greeting by the gallery staff as she was descending the stairs from the upstairs office. She asked "I brought my dog from home. Do you mind dogs?" To which I replied, "Yes i do". Instead of securing her pet in the office, she proceeded down the stairs, trying to sway me by saying, "He's a very sweet, gentle dog" as the dog followed behind. He was a huge beast and I bolted. Why would my reply be ignored if my comfort level actually mattered? Why are staff allowed to bring in their animals

Another promising gallery to display the work of Canadian artists. Studio 21 stands as an extremely prestige component of Halifax's art houses, as its been open for more than 20 years.
I've always left feeling just how one should feel after leaving a gallery-- inspired. No word of a lie, the work going through this spot is consist, fresh and always seems to offer a new vision; a new perspective; a new body of fundamentals.
