The firm was established by Ivan C. Dinsmore, B.A., O.L.S., in June of 1977 and today employs five technical and professional staff.

Why a Professional Land Surveyor? According to the Association of Ontario Land Surveyors, (AOLS), and Ontario Statute Law, only surveys made by licensed Ontario Land Surveyors are legal. Only members of the Association of Ontario Land Surveyors have completed the academic requirements and practical training before licensing.
Property owners that decide to make improvements to their property often do not know the location of the boundaries of their property. There may not be survey monuments, (steel bars), at their property corners or they may not be able to find them. Consultation with an Ontario Land Surveyor can provide the land owner with a service to match their requirements.
Real Property Reports are the most common type of private survey. They are usually prepared on the instructions of the property owner, purchaser or lending institution. For a Surveyors Real Property Report the front coners of the property must be marked with survey monuments. In the case of a Real Property Report prepared for a newly constructed house, only one front corner is required to be marked with a survey monument.
Condominium descriptions or plans describe the location and form of the boundaries between the individual condominium units and the common elements of the condominium. These plans are usually composed of two or more sheets. Most condominiums in Ontario currently take the form of multi storey buildings or one level townhouse developments.
