We are a full-range garden nursery located in North Bay, Ontario, Canada. Our nursery had its beginnings in the back garden of our founders, Aldege and Christina Laporte, 65 plus years ago. To this day we are still family run, and we still commit ourselves to providing the best service to our custoammers.
You can expect fresh plants, friendly faces, and courteous staff every time you visit. With 71 years of experience in the gardening industry, we have become one of the largest garden centres in Northern Ontario. We are now open to the public with a maximum of 25% capacity in the store at once. We are still offering curbside to those who would be more comfortable not entering the store with orders placed in advance to lori@laportesnursery.ca.

Zone 2 - Tidy habit, uniform flowering, and beautiful compact shape. Excellent addition to any garden. Blooms of Bressingham variety. 24" x 24". Zone 2 - Clusters of bright coloured flowers held above beautiful ferny foliage. Zone 2 - Delightful silvery frosted foliage sports a peach coloured flower which deepens to a rich burnt orange.
All container grown nursery plants can be successfully planted anytime the soil is free from frost. If you notice the plant is root bound, take a serrated knife and cut 1"-2" towards the center of the root ball - the entire depth of the root area, in three places. Plant the tree, shrub or evergreen slightly higher than it was growing in the container to prevent the roots from suffocating.
For almost seventy years Laporte's Nursery has provided excellent customer service and superior product knowledge to our North Bay and surrounding area customers. We have a very eclectic staff, their commonality being their high energy, hard working and personable approach to maintaining our quality products and providing every customer with the individual care and attention we strive to achieve.
