In 1912, a young man named Murray Teichman began teaching dance in the evening, while working in an architectural office during the day. He was a fast learner, and by 1914 he changed his name to Arthur Murray and established himself as a leading dance teacher to members of the upper class.
During the 1950s, Arthur and Kathryn Murray began a television series called, "The Arthur Murray Dance Party, " a highly popular show that ran for twelve years on national television.In the early 1960s, the dance classes began an era of social dancing in America, under the leadership of Masters and George B. Theiss.

I'm giving this studio 5 stars because they are absolutely amazing. We were preparing for our first dance at our wedding, however we didn't start early enough, but they took our schedule and made sure that there was an instructor always available so we could meet our deadline. Every instructor knew us and our choreography, so we felt comfortable learning in a major time crunch. They offered us their discounted programs first so we could even save some money.

I am giving this studio 2 stars. We planned to do a nice choreographed dance for our wedding. when i spoke to them they were super kind and asked us to go visit their studio and talk about the wedding packages they have. They even gave us a complementary introductory class. When we finished our first class they offered us their ONLY package which was 4 dance lessons plus 2 group dance. We kept telling them we only want to learn one dance for one song in our wedding and they kept insisting that we have to take this package first and then after pay $100 per class for them to plan our dance moves

My future wife and I decided to have a choreographed waltz during our wedding reception. We chose Arthur Murray Woodbridge to help us out with the whole process. We had lots of fun learning the choreography with our instructor Natasha, she was the best! Everyone was so friendly and helpful with our time there - we definitely reccomend this place for those who want to learn how to dance!
