Country Gardens was established in 2001 by Carmen Sim. Since then, we have strove to provide quality annuals, vegetables, hanging baskets & planters, perennials, trees and shrubs. We use beneficial insects within the greenhouse to manage pest populations. We specialize in tomato hanging baskets and have some of the most beautiful floral hanging baskets around.
Choose your container. Starting herbs in containers are the best way to control germination conditions, especially for hard to start or expensive herbs. You can use just about anything for containers. Cut down milk cartons and yogurt containers work great, just make sure to put a drainage hole in the bottom.
Pruning can be a chore that seems daunting but with a little patience you will be rewarded for your diligence and hard work. In the long run, a little pruning can save you a lot of hassle and headache. Here is some guidence on where to begin. Information: Green foliage that carries a licorice scent with long blooming violet flowers. Attracts butterflies and hummingbirds. Information: A cold hardy, fast growing, tree with upright, dark green foliage and purple catkins followed by brown strobiles in fall. Fertilize: When first planting, mix a liquid transplant fertilizer into water and give generously.
