At Van Dolder's Custom Exteriors, siding installers only install siding, and window installers only install windows. Our Home Team installers are experts at what they install and focus on the details of their individual craft. For new construction, we offer full set-in foam installation of windows and doors with a full warranty on workmanship.
Andy VanDolder - regularly referred to as Dutch or Big D, started his career in the customer exterior business as a late teen. Andy worked for his brother, Wietse selling aluminum doors out of the back of a pickup truck. In 1964, at the age of 17, Andy left the pickup truck behind and opened the doors on a new business: Cash and Carry Aluminum - located in Annan, Ontario just outside of Owen Sound.
When picking a front door for your house, or any door for that matter, there are some key items to consider. Today's technology has provided us with many different styles and designs to choose from, as well as material options to suit your needs and budget. Most replacement doors are steel slabs with wood frames covered with vinyl cladding; they are cost effective, energy efficient and virtually maintenance free.
HOME TEAM vinyl windows are energy efficient meeting building code and Energy Star requirements. Dual pane or triple pane glass adds to the efficiency and can be custom suited to meet your energy and budget needs. Proper selection and addition of outside and inside mouldings will also help ensure the best installation of your replacement windows; these include exterior brickmoulds and interior wood adapters or drywall returns.

I called and they said a rep would call be back. Brady called the next day and had things moving to install a railing on my front stairs. This had to be done quickly as my son has a brain injury and this was a requirement of the assessment. The contract and payment were done online and the work was completed within 5 days. MUCH APPRECIATED and GREAT WORK. Thank you.

Had a garage door and Horman door opener installed.
They did an excellent job of installing them.
Years later the door is making a lot of noise opening and closing.
Called several times to have them come and take a look.
Finally came but nothing was done to correct the problem.
No follow up and problem not fixed.

Recently VanDolders installed a window in our stairwell. The window is amazing however the 1st attempt at drywalling and repairing the opening created for the new window was not up to expectations. VanDolders sent us their ‘A’ crew. Tyler’s ownership of the problem and his dedication to ensure we were happy with his work was outstanding. I have had widows and doors install many..many times on other properties , but this is the best job of all .. from sales, to quality work done by Tim.. The job shoud have been done with a crew in and out but it was soooo many visits and phone calls . they installed 7 windows and a door . they were here more times than I can count. Every time it was a differnet contractor on the job. They called to do a finish follow up on the job and I still had platic in the window and the job was only 1/2 done. They did do a good job but the big windows I got installed feel kinda cheap will have to wait and see how they hold up. The part that bothered me the most was the how they invoice at the end of it. I got a total of 15 differnt invoices. For something
