Location is awesome! Bed and pillows comfy. And that’s all for the positives.
Toilet barely flushed, tub leaked, sub par clean, carpet dated and stained. No microwave but yet there was a safe, mini fridge and coffee maker- seemed odd to leave a microwave out considering there was a seating area where perhaps you would sit to eat at…

Went to the restaurant on Sept 23 at 8:00 PM and ordered the steak sandwich - it was truly awful - the steak was sliced up on the bread before it arrived at my table. It was by far the toughest and fattiest steak I have ever tried to eat. Not good - don't waste your time or money at this restaurant.

Beautiful inside. Staff friendly, but not a place for a quick meal (ie, walked in around 5 and not finished until 6:30). Menu is on the pricier side, but portion was very large. Grilled salmon burger with kimchi was very good - moist fillet, delicious dill sauce, and a bit of spicy heat in the kimchi. Fries were crispy and tasted fresh. Very limited non-alcoholic menu for drinks, but Shirley Temple was classic. They close the kitchen between 3 and 4.

We passed on another hotel in the area and walked in on a whim, we were very happy to get their last available double room. It was huge! One of the larger double rooms I have ever stayed in, with a fridge and excellent water pressure.
Right across the street from a grocery store, and with a pub downstairs.
Very nice and genuine service from the front desk and pub despite us looking like we had just drove 10 hours in 30 degree heat and smoke.
The only critique we had was perhaps a few extra chairs on the shared balcony area as every guest we met was so friendly and wanted to chat!

Great stay at the Lodge!
Dinner at the restaurant was fantastic. Great food, big portions, very reasonable pricing. Nice beer selection. Very friendly and attentive servers and hostesses. Comfortable chairs.
The hotel was comfortable and right in the middle of downtown / near the beach. The liquor store in the hotel is handy - we were able to get a couple drinks and enjoy them outside. There is a beautiful courtyard garden with a few patio tables. Room was basic and comfortable, although could use a fridge.

Only reviewing the restaurant as I was not staying at the hotel because it was full, which means it is probably great as well.
As for the restaurant/bar I would say this is a great spot for dinner while in Nakusp. Always full of people and was taking reservations on a Thursday night with a 30 minute wait, so it is very popular. I went with the NY steak, which was delicious, and cooked perfectly.
Staff were also very nice and even though they were very busy, still took the time to make sure everything was good.
