Recreational Gymnastics is the non-competitive branch of gymnastics. It makes up over 90% of the Alberta Gymnastics Federation's membership and The BGC is honored to be a part of that. Gymnastics is a sport for everyone. It provides an opportunity to challenge an individual physically, and enables him/her to explore numerous forms of movement in fun, creative ways.
Recreational Gymnastics provides children, as young as 18 months through to adults, of any age, to enjoy the sport. An assortment of programming is offered such as: parent and tot, preschool, CanGym, youth and adult rec, as well as performance or demonstration groups such as Gymfest.

Services
Our club was established in 2013. We began our journey in the Whitby Hall just north of Drayton Valley. Since then our club has grown and our programs have expanded tremendously. We are a non profit organization with a membership to the AGF and structured with a parent volunteer board made up of volunteers who dedicate their time and efforts to the club.
All of our coaches are certified through the NCCP, with additional training in First AId and Respect In Sport. Throughout the year, our coaches participate in Professional Development courses such as MED (Making Ethical Decisions) to build on their training in a variety of ways, which in turn provides a safe, leading edge coaching session for your child.
Fees are due at the time of registration. We offer monthly payments but post dated bond cheques must be given at the time of the registration. AGF fees are mandatory and non-refundable. Coaches DO NOT accept payments of any kind. The proper attire is expected to be worn to class such as a body suit, tight fitting top with form fitted pants or shorts, as baggy clothing is a safety concern.
We do a newsletter every month that is posted on Facebook and emailed to club members who provide their email address. Please remember that is your responsibility to check and read all the information provided. You can find us directly across the street from Arc Resources on 50th Avenue, just west of McDonalds.
As with the majority of gymnastics clubs in Alberta and across Canada, The Brazeau Gymnastics Club is a non-profit society dependent on the volunteer efforts of its members to function efficiently. As of late, the bulk of the work has fallen to a very few. In order to continue as an effective and spirited club we need to make adjustments.
