After wasting two WHOLE days trying to hook up my printer to the computer I called DAG. Fantastic! Shawn Ross showed up an hour before he was scheduled to arrive (he phone to make sure that would be OK) and in slightly over an hour he had my computer hooked up to the printer and working great. Shawn was friendly and knowledgeable. Gave me some great tips and while we were waiting for the internet to come on cleaned out a lot of extra stuff I didn't even known I still had on the computer. Not impressed with these Guys! My friend recently had relied on them to fix a small problem with her gmail account and ended up creating ' screen of death', corrupting her D drive. They also handed it back to her with the hard drive out. Then telling her that they had backed up all her files on to a memory card from the drive and they would reinstall once she bought a new computer which she didn't have the money for. They charged her $57 for their services! I believe it should have been for free with an apology when they handed back the laptop unusable. Since then, I had taken a look at it, reinstalled

Called these guys and set a 9am appointment following day for hubby's computer. Unbeknownst to me, hubby had booked a 3pm, same day with "other guys". The other guys spent over an hour and did up a list of needs based on a corrupt download?? The cost would have been almost $900. When I learned that hubby had another appointment I did attempt to cancel Dial-A-Geek. Thank goodness they didn't get the message. They showed up promptly at 9am (and I figured WTH...get a second opinion). The fixed the problem in <10 minutes. Period. No corrupt download or pile of tech-y terms designed to confuse. Computer

The entire experience was satisfying and this is the third time I have had to use their service. The appointment making was painless and the technician arrived right on time. The computer is old and needed some virus repairs. I was advise how to save time and money in the future, and all was done in a hour.
I would definitely recommend to others and will personally use them again.

I brought my computer in last minute on a Saturday and received amazing customer service. The technician was able to perform a quick analysis of the issue and was about to fit us in even though he had lots of other work on the go (mine was a large data transfer and factory setting restore). I would highly recommend this business.

I've really enjoyed working with these guys off and on for the last 10 years -- great group, their prices are very reasonable, and they're very fast. Used to live in Calgary and to get this same level of service we'd have to wait 1 to 2 weeks, whereas these guys do it same day most of the time. Thanks for the great work!

We were very pleased with the service we received from Shawn Jones at Sneakers Computers/Dial-A-Geek during a recent visit to Victoria during which we experienced computer problems. With the help of the concierge at our hotel, we located this company & took our laptop to their office. Shawn took in our computer & promised to call within a few hours with a diagnosis.
When we heard from Shawn in the allotted time, he told us what was wrong, what needed to be done to fix it, the approximate cost & estimated time of completion. When we picked up the laptop the next day as promised, Shawn provided

The tech was on time and very polite. He was able to solve my problem in under the hour and spent the rest of the time 'fine tuning' my computer. Before he left he explained what had happened, how he fixed it, and ways I could avoid the problem in the future...all without using that techno-babble! Very impressed, would definitely use again.
