St John Bosco Camp
St. John Bosco Wilderness Camp operates as a residential wilderness summer camp primarily for children. Programming for school year-end trips and adult and family camping is also available. St. John Bosco Wilderness Camp is an invitation to all people to live, learn and share with each other in the natural environment that God has provided, while developing a greater awareness and responsibility towards it.

Through this medium, campers are encouraged to grow physically, mentally and spiritually and to realize God in all aspects of life. Our setting lends itself to being close to nature. We want our campers to feel at one with the life coming forth in all of our environment, to learn to respect and love the wilderness.
Services
Just a reminder that if you have empty bottles and cans (which we all likely do!) - you can take advantage of the Sarcan Drop & Go program at select Sarcan locations. You don't have to wait in any lines and the money gets donated directly to Camp! More information for the program is available on Sarcan's website.
Did you know that camper fees cover only 50% of the actual cost of sending a child to camp?. The rest of the cost is covered through grants and fundraising, and the Board of Directors works very hard throughout the year to fill this gap. However, in these economic times, everyone is feeling the pressure, and the gap has been harder to fill.
In the Junior programs for ages 8-10, campers live for 7 days in groups with other campers the same age and gender, led by two trained counselors. Intermediate campers aged 10-12 extend the same experience over 10 days. Nestled in the pines, while tenting on Zeden and Ispuchaw Lakes, campers get a taste of wilderness living.
Have you ever cooked over an open fire? Pitched your own tent? Paddled a canoe across a lake while watching the Northern Lights glisten off the water? If this sounds like something you would like to try, Wilderness Skills is for you. This introductory program is designed to give campers experience in all aspects of camp.
The Out-Tripping Programs (ages 14-16) let the camper experience 7 of the 10 days in the wilderness on a trip designed to safely challenge them physically, mentally and spiritually. They will leave the comfort of Main Camp and venture out with their group and whatever they can carry in their packs.
