Calgary Tennis Club
The Calgary Tennis Club (CTC), the largest outdoor seasonal club in Alberta, originated in 1889 and established a society at its current location in 1912. CTC celebrated its Centennial in 2012. In 2014, CTC was awarded the Canadian Seasonal Facility Excellence Award by bothTennis Canada and the Tennis Professionals Association.

We offer a friendly place to engage in competitive and social play, enhance your fitness potential, socialize with active people and bond with family members. Our unique outdoor facility is located just west of downtown Calgary, with 6 plexi-pave and 3 "ClayTech" courts (all with lights), along with a full-service rustic clubhouse!

Looks like fun, although I don't play tennis. Should be shutting down for the year, getting cold and dark early now.

Visited with my cousin. Very friendly inside and they have games to play. They sell numerous drinks and snacks too. A perfect way to get some tennis and meet people.

Came for the men's open, enjoyed the space, food and watching the matches. It's an old building, so the place is not accessible for those with mobility needs and could use updates. More funding for players as well, sports are important community building tools, and players come from all over to compete, it would be appropriate to offer a fair prize and some better accommodations such as discounted court time for competitors.

Great place to meet new tennis partners and even socialize! Very reasonable dues and several weekly organized round-robins for all skill levels; great coaching available for anyone who wants to quickly pick up the game or kick current skills up a few notches.

I’m wondering if the blinding lights I see every night in my apartment are coming from the tennis club? High powered flood lights are disrupting the neighborhood. They seem to be kept on all night. Sunalta residents should ask the club to shut off these flood lights!

Beautiful location and well maintained facility. As a new member, I was hoping to learn tennis there with private lessons but all I got was multiple cancellations because of weather, other more imporant matches, higher priority players, etc. This was said to be normal and expected. Hmmmm... Will be shopping around for an indoor tennis club now, or maybe drop this game entirely.

Dozens of our frequent stringing customers play tennis at the Calgary Tennis Club. So we hear many great things about this club, its members and its 100+ year history. As a result, we are happy to refer customers who play tennis and live or work downtown to the CTC. We wish them continued success in their second century.
