Wayne and Jay MacDermott moved to Kelowna in 1994 with the lifelong dream of opening their own men's clothing store. Wayne had been in the clothing business since 1974 and was ready for the big show. That dream became a reality in April of 1995. In 2005 MacDermott's underwent a major renovation adding over 2000 square feet of retail space.
With this addition came the extra space needed to start carrying a full range of shoes and boots. Also included was the Tommy Bahama shop-in-shop. It was the only store of its kind in North America. 2012 was another milestone year for MacDermott's as the Tommy Bahama space was converted to a unique Robert Graham shop-in-shop and Wayne's personal man-cave.

I can speak very highly of all the staff at MacDermott's and in particular Jasmine, after my experience over the last few weeks. She took the time to get to know me, my style and put together a selection of outfits based on that. Her knowledge of fashion coupled with her creative eye and boldness sold me on being a repeat customer. It's the customer service you want, hear about, expect and I find is somewhat lost these days. Great experience purchasing my wedding suit here! I purchased in the spring, covid delayed things and they stored the suit for me and told me to come back closer to the wedding to get it fitted. All the staff I dealt with were great, but big shout out to Noel and Mac D for taking care of me! Dont bother going anywhere else, buy from these guys!
