Services
The official name of our organization is Shelburne Association Supporting Inclusion; however we like to refer ourselves as "SASI". We offer vocational services, residential services and Supported Living assistance to over 60 adults with intellectual and mental health disabilities. Our staff of over 60 employees includes our management team, support and administrative staff as well as summer/co-operative students.
Individuals wishing to learn more about the programs that we offer at our Vocational sites are encourage to tour our facilities and meet with the Executive Director and or the Program Coordinator to discuss admission procedures. A medical questionnaire and application form will be provided. Admission into our programs require individuals to be 19 years of age or older and have been diagnosed with an intellectual/mental health disability.
The residential programs provide opportunities for individuals to build on existing skills and to learn new skills in all aspects of life. This program provides 24 hour staffing support to individuals in a group home environment. The individuals live with others and have their own room but share the rest of their house with the group.
Respite services are short-term temporary care for families who care for individuals with cognitive and developmental disabilities. SASI provides this service which enables the individual to experience the benefits of living in a home-like environment while receiving necessary assistance and supports.
Pre-vocational programs provide our clients the skills they need to develop positive relationships, gain independence, and build the life/work skills they need to promote growth. Clients have been able to use the new Assistive Technology that we have implemented. This is a system of no-tech, low-tech and high-tech tools and strategies that match a person's needs, abilities and tasks.
