Second Skin Medspa and/or Scalp Micropigmentation Center, may or may not take a full or partial deposit for any treatment or service offered. If a deposit of any denomination is paid by the client for a service, treatment or product, the deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE. That deposit can be transferred to another person, if the client so wished.

Excellence is an understatement. Rose is knowledgeable, professional and experienced. Rose did microblading on my eyebrows and permanent upper and lower eyeliner. She did an amazing job . I get compliments from my friends at how natural my brows and eyeliner look.. She was extremely patient to answer all of my questions and answers them with such knowledge. I have been going to Second Skin since 2017 after meeting people throughout the city that had work done by Rose. The irony is that these persons all didn’t know each other but when I complimented them on their skin and microblading, they told me about this clinic called Second Skin and the owner named Rose. I knew I just had to book with her after seeing her work on different Toronto women.

My first encounter with this spa was back in 2015. For many years I had been aware of my over plucked eyebrows. Rose convinced me to give a try with micro blading and it was the best decision ever!!! I am happy to say I have been a client for 5 years. Rose expertly fixed my eyebrow microblading which was botched from another aesthetician and I love them. She is very knowledgeable and caring . I also had plasma pen for my upper eyelid droop and sagging and the results were amazing . Rose provided excellent after care frequently checking in on the downtime results and answering questions . She has provided other services as well all in a professional and enthusiastic manner. The environment is clean, professional and serious is courteous.

I haven't had the chance to write this review because I really wanted to think through what I was going to write. I went in to get my eyebrows microbladed because I've always had uneven eyebrows and they were fairly sparse. Needless to say she marked me face with a thick pencil and then wiped it off. what's the point in that? They came out uneven and totally horrible! They were wayyyyy to close, she waxed parts of my existing eyebrows which I never touch because it gives them shape, and she made my eyebrow tails look so thick and shapeless. Rose Cruz did my eyebrows over 2 years ago at Second Skin MedSpa this was the first appointment. She messed them up so bad I had to spend another $1,100 to get them removed and fixed. She told me she knew what she wanted to fix for next time. I said no way I was letting her near my face with a blade again. I asked for my money back and her husband sent me a threatening email. She said this is what I asked for. Yeah right

I went here every 8 weeks for a year to get my laser hair removal for my underarms - got a great deal with them. Every time I go, the staff has always been friendly and informative. I did this back in 2013 so I don't remember the two ladies' names but I think one of them was Rose. Neither ladies ever tried to up sell me for any other services and both were always making sure that the laser level was just enough (not too painful).

My tattoist was very patient with me, going through all the colours until i found one i liked and we worked on the shape of them for a good hour until i was happy :)
Took about 2 weeks for them to heal completely and about 3 weeks for the colour to calm (the colour comes out a lot darker when you first get them done).
Over all I am very happy.

One of the best places in the city. Rose is extremely knowledgable and great! I used their laser services and tried other services such as facials and mani pedi - Never had a problem and always felt welcome. Definitely a lot of care goes into making sure that clients are happy- after all Rose and Tino (the owners) are very involved and invested in their business. I would recommend this place without hesitation! ... And I think I'm overdue for a visit and definitely need to check out their new location still! :)

BEWARE!!! Unfortunately, I must give some type of star to proceed. Otherwise, this place would get nothing! Silk Peel, IPL, chemical peel - this is a HORRIBLE treatment for the skin!
Tino and Rose are friendly but in the end, they are there to make money. This was recommended for my skin but is the worst treatment to get. It strips your skin. So when you are told the after the treatment you will break out, this is because you've put your skin through a VERY rough treatment.

I had a shellac mani/mini-pedi here with a travelzoo coupon a few months back, and the girl who did my nails was friendly and kind, BUT the mini pedi didn't even have a foot pumice or anything (I mean, this could be my own fault for not reading the fine print, but really -- what's the point of a pedicure without the foot pumice?).

I originally chose it through a groupon, yet I have returned repeatedly for further services because I was very satisfied. They have also been flexible and forgiving when I showed up late for an appointment!

I recently visited Second Skin Medspa, to redeem a Botox voucher I had purchased. Yes.. CrossFiters and hardcore trainers such as myself, tend to make faces when lifting heavy loads, which isn't great for the face at all.. lol. This wasn't my first time getting Botox.. When I arrived, I was told that the pedicure is only a mini-pedicure which consists of just clipping my nails and polish!. The whole procedure took 8 minutes! When I told the esthetician that I purchased a 30 minute pedicure she said that for a full pedicure, it's another $15.
She then started on my manicure and when she saw that I had polish on them she then wanted another $10 to remove my polish!!
Nowhere does it say that the client has to come in with bare nails! I even asked for remover so that I could remove my own polish and they refused only asking for more money!

Got mani/pedi deal via travelzoo.
it only included mini mani/pedi but I'm satisfied with the result and the beauticians were very friendly and attentive.
it's not one of the spas that provides you with tea/coffee while you wait but then the prices are cheaper.
the location is very hard to find.. you have to enter through burger king door and then turn right into a door that indicates to dental office... and it's on the 2nd floor.
looks like they constantly have deals/ and discounts so I'm already signed up for the next mani/pedi for my NY look.
