For 75 years, Camp Couchiching has provided thousands of youth of all genders excellent camping opportunities. Located on 20 acres of fields and forest on the eastern shore of Lake Couchiching, we're just over an hour north of Toronto and brag of one of the warmest lakes in Ontario, Canada!.
We're not just a "summer camp", but a place where lifelong friendships form and where learning about life and leadership skills are an integral part of a fun, kind-spirited experience. Most of our campers returned each year for: fun, education, and leadership skills. Many continue on to join our staff team and pass along lessons learned to new groups of campers.

Our Mission Statement: Excellence in Camping fostering individual growth within an inclusive community. Camp Couchiching was officially established in 1946 however Camp Couchiching's property has hosted different summer camps since 1910. Our camp had its beginning during the 1930's when a group of individuals from the Anglican Young Peoples Association rented what would soon be our home from the neighboring facility, YMCA Geneva Park.
Camp Couchiching's 2020 season was completely closed. We lost all of our revenue for Spring, Summer and Fall. At Camp Couchiching, we plan on roaring back with a "best ever" 2021 season which is also our 75th Anniversary. We don't have enough revenue to move things forward this year.
Annual expenses include water testing, insurance, environmental compliance, payments for our database, safety inspections, staff development, and various association fees.We require fundraising efforts as well as government subsidies to come back strong throughout our 75th season in 2021. If you can, please donate funds for our camp &/or help us lobby the government for support for Summer Overnight Camps.

It is our pleasure to welcome you to Camp Couchiching's Outdoor Centre! Whether it is your first time visiting us or you are a returning group, we hope that you feel like a part of the Camp Couchiching community. Camp Couchiching has been providing quality outdoor education programs for over 35 years.
Camp Couchiching has been fostering youth development for over 65 years. As a registered chairity with special focus on inclusivity, in 2012 we launched our Community Initiatives which has been created to expand upon the outreach of the program offerings of Camp Couchiching by specifically targeting youth in the local communities of Orillia, Severn, Oro Medonte and Ramara.
Camp Couchiching's main operations are an overnight and day summer camp throughout the months of July and August. However we are so much more! We operate Spring and Fall programs under the Camp Couchiching Outdoor Centre and host many programs in the Orillia area for groups, families and schools throughout the year.

Our kids adore this camp! We just picked up our son and he is so thrilled with how amazing his two weeks were. Even dealing with COVID, this camp was creative and found ways to make things safe but still amazing. We are grateful for the wonderful memories our kids will always cherish from their years at Camp Couchiching

I was a camper since i was very young. i stayed there for 2 weeks every summer. almost every counselor knows me. the staff and the kids were my best friends. its the best camp ever. also when my family brought me to camp they were confident that i was in safe hand. i was a camper with epilepsy so the counselors knows how to handle a seizure that's why my parents weren't worried about me. i left camp a few years ago but i missed it every summer. its definitely a camp that is fun, safe, and plenty of adventures. it was the best time of my life. i missed everyone.

Camp Couchiching has the most amazing staff all around. From start to finish I had an amazing experience there and the staff were a major part of that. The kitchen staff was also SO accommodating and kind,… willing to help everyone out with anything requested. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for maintaining such a wonderful place like Camp Couchiching!

Camp couchaching was an amazing experience I just have 1 complaint,
There was a counciler named Tyler, and whenever we wanted to get food he yelled “NO NO NO” to many of my friends but with different foods. All of us were afraid to get food because we thought he would yell at us again. He also makes us very uncomfortable and awkward to be around him. Many of my friends and I didn’t want to go to his rotation because we thought he would scream at us.

Our daughter first camping experience and Couch staff and councillors made it memorable for her. She was a bit home sick on the 2nd night, but the cabin councillor handled all new campers and these situations quite well and by the 3rd day our daughter was well adjusted and really enjoyed the rest of the camp. She'll be back next year!

Went here to a company retreat and enjoyed every moment of it! Lake is awesome, not deep at all, so swimming with kids was great, as well as canoe trips. There's a huge field for various sports, archery range, basketball court, you name it. The staff is super friendly and we loved the food, actually. Definitely worth visiting, and we're definitely coming back!!
