Ontario Truck Driving School has been active in the industry since 1978 and has the widest range of training programs and services in the industry. We are pleased to be working in partnership with industry leaders and government offices that work with our graduates after they have successfully completed their training.
Our trainers have years of experience in the industry and know how things work in the transportation and construction business. Our truck driving course incorporates a session with Canada Customs officials and the Ministry of Transportation to ensure you will be prepared for hauling goods across the border.

Services
The "AR" Training program is 10 hours in total, the curriculum consists of in-truck and yard training to teach you to competently handle this vehicle in the city and on the highway, vehicle maintenance and backing training, as well as the daily inspections required for operation. Once qualified students will use our equipment for road test.
Day, Evening and Weekend Courses are available. Full and part-time training courses are available. Courses include classroom training, one-on-one in truck training, yard training and observation, accident avoidance course and border crossing training. Some of the topics taken in class are: defensive driving, smart driver, load distribution/Cargo securement, preventative maintenance, dangerous goods, log books/E-Logs and more.
Persons with an Ontario Class B license are licensed to drive any school bus purpose vehicle, as well as any vehicle that requires the driver to have a Class C, D, E or F license. Full and part-time training courses are available. The B course can be taken with or without the Brake Course, Defensive Driving, Log Book and one-on-one in-vehicle training.
Full and part-time training courses are available. The D course includes our Air Brake Course, U.S. Driving Regulations, Log Book, Border Crossing, and Defensive Driving Courses as well as one-on-one in-truck training. Both classroom and in-truck training is taught by experienced, qualified instructors.

Went through there 5 piece and AZ course. All the instructors in the heavy equipment are very knowledgeable and help when ever needed if your new or experienced they will work with you great people. My AZ instructor was George definitely a great instructor I had problems in school learning as a child. George definitely knows how to work with people with different ways of teaching you and was very helpful. I would recommend George. I would also recommend all of the heavy equipment trainers there all great people. The owner is allways there to help with any issues. The ladies in the office are amazing

I wanted to extend my heartfelt thanks to the entire crew at OTDS for all of their help in setting me along a new path. I had been in touch with Gus off and on over the last few years and when the opportunity arose to finally attend training he was available immediately to make sure everything came together. I started my AZ course in September and by mid October, I had passed the AZ road test on my first try. It was mostly because of my in-cab instructor Rob Perrin.
Rob is a great teacher, made sure I was always confident about the maneuvers I was performing, and explained the best ways to tackle the challenges of driving a tractor-trailer vehicle.
The most important part to me was how straight forward Rob was about what was needed to pass the test. Eliminating any and all information that would not be relevant when going for the test, which resulted in me getting a near perfect overall score on

I took the AZ MELT program, completed in a little over two months. Everything was very well organized and staff was quick to answer any questions or help work around your schedule. The office staff is very kind and helpful at all times. The airbrake course was very well done, using a knowledgeable instructor that helped ensure everyone passed. Thank you to Barry Martin. You will learn almost everything to know about being a professional truck driver while working through the course material, so make sure you pay attention and really absorb it. Thank you soo very much OTDS for literally changing my life for the better! Quick timely scheduling for courses and expert advice given in a friendly professional manner. These people made me the excellent truck driver I am today through their safety oriented and clearly communicated training. Every teacher i met here had no problem taking to time to answer any questions I had (and trust me there were a lot!) Would highly recommend to anyone looking to start a career in logistics or heavy equipment. They gave me the confidence I have that I can do my job safely and effectively.

I just recently finished my heavy equipment course in which I got the opportunity to train on and learn five different pieces of equipment. My instructor, Tony V, went above and beyond to ensure that I was trained professionally on each piece of equipment and gave me lots of learning experience. He is a very easy person to work with! - When taking my AZ training and certification, I had the pleasure of having an exceptional instructor, Bill M. - Bill gave me the push I needed and ensured that I was the most prepared I could be prior to taking my AZ license test. He was very clear with the directions
