Foster Legal Services offers a variety of legal services to the public, particularly catering to the increasing number of people who do not qualify for Legal Aid coverage, but who also do not have the financial means to fully retain a lawyer. Our main areas of practice are family law and child welfare law.
Services offered include collaborative family law; mediation; limited scope/unbundled services; representation of children; independent legal advice; cohabitation/marriage and separation agreements; and traditional representation. We do not require a retainer at the outset of our services.

Services
Collaborative family law is a way to resolve family or divorce conflicts outside of the courtroom. Each party hires their own collaborative lawyer and agreements are reached through a series of settlement meetings. Parties agree to work through the process without filing any court applications. Clients can receive assistance from a lawyer from the beginning of their matter to the end.
