Murphy's Camping On The Ocean
The Murphys welcome you to come and enjoy our hospitality and all that Mother Nature has to offer at one of the most scenic & interactive campgrounds in Nova Scotia. We offer both RV sites and Tent sites, each having a unique set of characteristics. Whether you enjoy a site just meters from the Atlantic Ocean, or something a little more secluded, you will surely find a site that suits your preferences.

Along our coastline lies a little known, yet incredible, natural treasure. It's a vast and beautiful archipelago of over 100 Wild Islands. Considered to be "The most valuable islands you've never heard of", the archipelago is one of the last remaining intact and ecologically rich island groups of its size in North America, the rugged beauty simply can't be put into words.

The "Moon" & "Lonely Planet" travel guides and campers alike comment on our nightly campfires and hospitality as one of our best features and the reason we feel Murphy's Camping is one of the best campgrounds in Nova Scotia.
SO unique and beautiful, and very accommodating. We got there very late, and were able to set up our tent and settle up in the morning, which we very much appreciated after driving all the way from Meat Cove! They clearly take great care in the experience their guests have, and great pride in their beautiful campground!
We've recently been included in a list of 11 of the Best Nova Scotia Campgrounds, curated by Off Track Travel. Off Track Travel writes, In our quest to find the best Nova Scotia campgrounds, we. We absolutely loved camping at Murphy's. The campsites are spaced apart and with the surrounding trees, each site seemed very private. The level sites easily accomodate motorhomes or campers/tents. The view was spectacular!! Our site (32) water view was 3/4 around. We were here for fall colors and they did not dissapoint. The owners were very friendly and we had fun at the evening group campfire. I would highly recommend staying at Murphy's.

Very nice campsite. Clean and well maintained. Many sites offer privacy. The only downfall is that the water stations are quiet a distance from the tent sites.

Two night stay with the camper rental package- includes live lobsters and 2h kayak. We had perfect weather and were able to go out on a boat tour and kayak around the islands.
Such a lovely time- staff were great and helpful anytime you even slightly mentioned you might need something or had questions.
Really worth it. Definitely recommend and would come back here again.

This place is in a beautiful location and is a small family campground. We booked 4 tent sites and rented one RV for our family weekend. It is dog friendly, which is a must for us, and had a great safe feeling for the kiddos to walk and bike around, although I will say that some folks are driving too fast on the grounds. It would have been to know upon booking a few things: camp store closes at 8pm (we missed out on firewood our first night because of this detail), boat tours/kayaks/canoes, etc need to be booked ahead of time and are not always available on demand. We also found it sort of strange

This was an incredible experience and I cannot rave enough about it. My family went on the "100 Islands, 100 Minutes" boat tour with Ryan Murphy, and we had a blast. Not only was it a super fun ride, but we loved learning about the islands, the local wildlife and ecology, and Ryan had some great stories he shared with us. He also took us to a gorgeous beach area and went for a little walk where we learned a bit about the rocks and the rock formations there. My kids loved the fast pace tour, and there was never a complaint about getting bored or anything. I highly recommend the campground and especially

Beautiful campsite and great for all ages! We used this as a place to have a high school reunion with 10 adults and it was magnificent! The owners are so lovely, the campsites are well maintained and there is lots to do on site. There are beautiful water views from the campsites and enough wooded area to make each lot private. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back!

The people at Murphy’s Cove are friendly and very helpful with any questions or concerns you might have. It’s so nice that they meet down by the water every evening to have a fire and just meet people from all over. The trailers are very clean and come well equipped with everything you need.

We are only stayed one night due to lack of sleep. Couldn't do it another night.
We were given site 44 instead of 43 as we booked and it barely fit our tent. We asked to move to 45 but was told it was booked. We booked 43 but someone else had our site , so obviously you can switch sites.
They kept us up till 1am as they were partying with site 42, which is probably why our site was given to them so they could be side by side .. quiet time was suppose to be at 11pm. At one point they point their dog in their camper and went back to the other site. Poor thing whined and whimpered the whole time

While our particular sites were a bit tight for 2 -30 'trailers, we were in a perfect location overlooking the water. The campground is wonderfully clean, good laundry services and washrooms. We had delicious lobster and homemade bread for supper and a fantastic sing song around the campfire our first night! I awoke to a spectacular sunrise where I had coffee on a rock overlooking the ocean. The tour of the 100 islands was great. A perfect day and clear skies. I think a gift certificate to this campground would be a perfect gift to receive! We had a GREAT time! The hosts were helpful and charming

Excellent experience.
First time at my daughter's camp and it couldn't have been at a better camp than Murphy's. Great sites for tents, clean place, polite and attentive functionaries and people who were Ali super friends and all with the same spirit of fraternizing.
We will definitely be back.
